i’m in the middle of a post on the tower scene and rewatching it with noah’s comments fresh in my head, and it’s unreal how blatantly romantic finn and noah were playing it. the script can cling to its “best friends!!” line, but the performances are doing something entirely different, the micro pauses, the softened delivery, the eye line drops, the breath work, the stillness that only shows up when the emotional stakes are intimate. it’s the exact kind of subtext versus text dissonance you get drilled on in a seminar, where the dialogue says one thing but the acting is staging a confession.
