“Nah, you’ve got a cute face, I mean on appearance alone I’d say you’re a nine, but then the second you talk it just drops. Like anything you’re holding because you’re very easily startled. You should work on that.”

“Probably. I mean you’re right, it’s very cute, and I need a new jacket anyway.”

“Just any time it really bothers you. The ointment should clear it up within a few days. Here – it’s rosemary scented, but don’t let the fact that it smells like a candle fool you. It really does help.”

She takes the jar and sniffs it. “Ooh, that’s really nice, actually. Bit flowery for me, but I can be a little more fancy now and then, I guess. Does it have any sorta’ metals in it? I have a sensitivity.” 

“Inappropriate is as good a word for it as any. I don’t think you have to be familiar with office politics to know that. It’s utterly bizarre. Perhaps so. Anything could have happened to him out there, and he can’t really talk about it right now.”

“Well it’s acceptable to do that in packs, but that’s something totally different, even if it is work.” She nods. “He knock himself unconscious or something? Run into a mysterious puddle of goo that swallowed him stocking to bonnet?”

she took the flask with extra care. “A woman’s flask is like an extension of herself. I would never disrespect you by snatching it. Now, let’s see what happens.” she teased, flashing a toothy grin before sauntering over to the man. he seemed more than eager to take the offering from her and chugged it. she snatched it back before he could pocket it for himself. before walking back over, she made a quiet suggestion. he seemed intrigued. once she made her way back over to agnes, she made herself comfortable in her seat. “oh, and for sanitary purposes,” she mused, flicking her wand over the flask before returning it to her.

She watches with bemusement, grimacing as the man drinks from her flask before raising an eyebrow at Octavia when she returns. She takes her flask back. “What did you tell him to do? It better be good now I’ve wasted good booze on it.”

“No, it’s probably weather-related. When it’s dry for so long like this, the skin doesn’t respond very well. There’s a really simple ointment I can make for you, and you can even make it yourself if you need to.”

“Figures. That’s really fucking annoying. I pride myself on having flawless skin and amazing hair. An ointment, okay. How often do I gotta’ use it?”

“ If we’re using the term loosely then yeah, we talk. Primarily for him to assert his dominance as the oldest. ” He stuffs his hands into his pockets and shrugs casually. “ It’s to be expected. I’m generally more laid-back and less super bossy and uptight–I prefer it that way anyways. ” Rabastan informed her with a mischievous smile of his own snaking onto his lips. “ I can drink to that, ” he raised his spiked hot chocolate glass toward her as he proposed a toast: “ To living our best lives as the hottest ones. ” He finished before taking a large swig from the mug in hand. “ I do like a good gamble, but I don’t think that’s the road you were going down with that. Tell you what–ask me anything you’d like and I’ll be an open book. ”

Agnes huffs with amusement. “He sounds like a delight,” she says dryly. “Hope I never meet him. I don’t do well with bossy and uptight people.” She taps her mug against his. “Hell yeah, I support that.” She takes a drink and raises an eyebrow. “Anything? That’s a lot of power you’re giving me there. You sure you wanna’ risk it? I could ask you political questions, or for stories about your childhood.”
