So. Miss Posie was spayed on Thursday with post op instructions of no running or jumping for 10-14 days. But! We’ve been snowed in since Friday with no suitable outlet for her considerable energy ie she’s chewing everything in sight. Shortly after I took this picture I pulled a pair of Ivan’s glad out of her mouth. This morning she vomited up a wad of gauze - on our bed - that she managed to eat last night when we weren’t paying attention. Lucy update. There is no easy way to announce this: This past Friday we said goodbye to Lucy. We decided that we wanted her to suffer as little as possible. When it became apparent that her health was on the down turn, we gave her the best last day we could: swimming, ball time, a hamburger, lots of kisses. Good memories of her enjoying life while she still had enough strength to do so. Then, with the help of Dr. Allison, we sat together in her favorite spot in the back yard and we let her go. The house feels emptier now. Quieter. It’s been rough, but we are getting through it.
