   “Nice. I’m gonna be so… hydrated…”

     With a slight grin, Luka nodded, standing with a tilt of his head, “Lie down then, I’ll be back.”

   “Well.”

   “I’m drunk and I wanna lie down.”

   “You mean when you got in my face and gave me a drunken lecture on my shitty behavior?”

     “I was thinking more like when I told you how much I like you.”

   “So you’re into me, is what you’re saying.”

   “Oh, so you’re making sacrifices for me now.”

   “It’s just…” Julian sighed, then shook his head. “Forget it.”

     “Mm, nope. Not gonna.”

   “Nothing.” Julian shrugged.

   “I’m fucking alone, that’s all.”

     “What?” Luka scooted closer, a little smirk tugging at the corner of his lips, “You have me.”

   “How the fuck should I know?”

   “I feel like shit,” Julian said suddenly, despite himself. “I guess that’s about it.”

     Luka’s features softened, just barely, before he gave Julian a nod.

   “I don’t.”

   “What, you wanna talk feelings?”

   “Like what?”

     “I don’t know.”

   “Yeah.”

   “I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I’m… fuckin’ exceptional company.”

     “Oh, I’ve noticed. Y’know… most of the time.”

   “Yes,” he nodded. “It sounds better than ‘I was drinking by myself on the couch.’”

   “I could sleep.”

     “You were drinking alone because you’re in the mood for fun?”

   “Well.” Julian stepped inside. I missed you? Gross.
