First Day || Open
"To be honest," Gaara started, looking away, "I am not sure." Ah, so she was new here. That made two of them. With a long sigh, he continued. "I'm new as well." He crossed his arms, trying to stand himself and push the creeping throb of his brain at bay. This school was filled with powerful people, he knew, and he had already proved himself strong. But that was the problem, now he felt empty. He felt less alive than when he was violent, and his urges boiled.
She was so expressive with her every movement. Gaara's neutral expression must be very different to her. Icy irises, dark, thick markings around his eyes, a tired disposition with a bland tone. He looked her over and listened. Friends? He had barely made any friends and he had little desire to. Then again, maybe he could try...
"Sabaku no Gaara, from the village hidden by sand." His voice was slightly more friendly, or at least less cold. However, that faded quickly. "I don't make friends."
A mild surprise coated her features when the guyâs words registered. This was something new,first to make contact with anyone who didn't live in the mansion and more importantly first person to offer friendship; yet he didn't seem to care for friends.Â
âOh,â she began, softly at first, in a voice that she did not often use. âI can't really say I've ever had friends since I never had time but is there a reason you don't make friends?â
It really wasn't meddling but she couldn't help wonder what happened to him to make him say such a thing. Â Her features softened, smile breaking her lips and flashing a wink of white teeth over at him as she tried to brush off the question in case he didn't like the idea of her asking.
She didn't give it much thought then. Far more interested where she was supposed to go now, she only smiled and nodded to herself. Walking a few steps past the boy, she wondered if he'd want to grab something to eat, part of her wondered if he would ever accept her offer. âHey do you want to go get something to eat? Well since we're both new we can find a place where they sell food together.â the girl began, cocking her head to the side and giving him a tentative smile. âWe can end up getting lost together, isn't it better than getting lost alone?â she asked with that twinkle in her brown eyes and the muscles tensing around her mouth like they canât decide if they want to smirk or not.Â
First Day || Open
Wendy gave a big yawn, covering it behind the pile of books she was holding in her arms. She had went to the library right when it opened since all her reserved books had arrived last night, but she really needed to get more sleep and to get the books back to her room before classes started.Â
A pounding of footsteps from around the corner alerted Wendy to another presence. She quickly tried shifting to the right in order not to collide with him/her, but she ended up tripping over her own feet, and with a thud, all her books fell to the ground. âAahh, Iâm sorry, Iâll pick these right up,â Wendy hastily said as she felt the person arrive at where she was splayed on the ground.Â
For a moment everything happened in almost a flash, the noise of falling books seem to bring her back from her her individual thoughts.  She was quiet for a moment, lowering her gaze towards the one who made such a noise. âS-S-Sorry!â She said after a moment. She sighed in relief as she realized is was just a young girl, a small blush gracing her cheeks from embarrassment before she bowed to the younger girl. âI didn't mean to do this, this is all my fault.â She muttered, her fingers tangling themselves into her shirt before she finally got some sense knocked into her. Rushing towards the girl's side. Placing a hand against her shoulder, making sure she was alright.
Her face contorted for a moment in what looked like relief. âA-Are you alright? Are you hurt in any way? â
She sought out her gaze, holding it in the light. âHere take my hand.â She replied sweetly, the smallest of smiles gracing her lips as she held her hand out. Her gaze drifted off slightly to see all the books around them, there was a small curve at the top of her lips, lips parted as she breathed, air was visible in the warm breeze of her breath. Turning her gaze back on the girl, âYou have a lot of books here. Why don't I help you carry them? It's nice to see someone else into reading like me.â She stated, joy filling into her voice.Â
Day 10: FT Couple(s): Natsu and Lucy
First Day || Open
Black eyelids opened slightly, revealing a slit of white and crystal orbs of icy green. Gaara lifted his heavy head and propped himself up on his elbows. His mind felt foggy and his jaw was tight. He must have been clenching his teeth all night again. He rubbed his head and brushed a few strands of red hair from his face, running his fingertips over his scar. Raising himself from his bed, he shuffled through his clothes and grabbed his gourd. He mustn't be late today.
Suddenly, his head blazed, but not like a headache. He grunted, struggling to regain control. His skin boiled with the desire to murder. No, not now!
He stumbled out of his room, swaying side to side until he balanced himself. His head still burned with a voice--the voice--of Shukaku the sand demon. Why, he thought, Why today?
As Gaara walked, he kept his head down, gripping his head. He heard the echo of footsteps moving quickly around the corner. As he rounded the bend, he caught a flash of blonde, and for a moment, his mind eased. Gaara looked up quickly, stepping backward so they didn't collide. His breath was short and heavy, but settling. He preoccupied his mind by studying her unfamiliar face with his cold eyes.
She came to a full stop once she realized someone there, despite herself, she chuckled.  A bit embarrassed towards running around. She sighs and wonders if he was a student there as well or maybe just enrolling. She pauses for a moment, averting her eyes before looking at back at him.
 She smiled, turning her gaze to his for a moment. "H-Hey!" She offered him a small grin, facing him with a studious expression on her face. One would think she really was fascinating. One moment she was laughing, another moment she was sympathizing with her friends, and yet another moment she was defending herself or someone she cared about with a passion. She was dynamic like that â unpredictable. Determination was the one thing she feeling, determined not to leave or wimp out. Her left hand in her pocket as she raised the other to scratch her cheek, "I'm new here so I was actually wondering why that bell rang. I ended up running around like an idiot."Â
Strands of hair brushing against her eyes as she gazed down at the floor momentarily. 'Boy was this a perfect first impression' she thought to herself. But it didn't matter, if she could bring sunshine to someoneâs day or make them smile, even if it was just for a moment, she felt happy. Part of her wondered if she was taking this guy's time.  âOh by the way my name is Lucy! I still haven't met many people but I hope we become friends.â she introduced herself, beaming angelically.

Lucy passed the next morning in her new bedroom, sipping the warm tea while she poured over the tiny print in the book she brought from home. The pages were crisp beneath her fingertips, the sides of the pages torn from years of use. Each story captured her attention, the vague details perking her curiosity. She soon developed a mental list of which stories she wanted to know about immediately, which stories could wait, and which ones she already knew. The blonde handle the book with a practiced care that had developed over years of handling old and battered objects in her father's estate, blissfully unaware of the passing of hours as she read. Writing a book was in her to do list but that would be a slow process.
Abruptly, the tea she had been sipping, which had remained pleasantly warm for most of the morning, was now cold. She sputtered, swallowing the now cold tea with effort. Seems she had let the book consume most of her time without realizing it again. A simple yawn was let out as she stretched out, knowing this was her first day of school. She had yet to make any new friends but at least she  changed before doing some morning reading.
The smile that settled on her face was small, but determined, and she strutted out of bed to begin making progress on her goal in meeting others. The girl looked at around the place balefully, amusement written into the corners of her eyes. She was bound to run into someone, right? A bell was heard, her heart almost skipped a beat from the scare it gave her. "W-What's happening?" she question out loud before she began to run down the corner, wondering where in god's name she was going.
When you meet the right person, you know it. You canât stop thinking about them. They are your best friend, and your soul mate. You canât wait to spend the rest of your life with them. No one and nothing else can compare.
