Chandler was a super sick baby. He wasn’t like… sick-sick, he just spit up all the time. Like after every meal. It was so annoying. Alice and I went through tons of sheets. It’s crazy for me to think that we were ever together like that… I love her so much, but… after I met Stone, I knew there wasn’t anyone else.

I hope I feel that feeling again, y’know, the just knowing. I don’t even think I felt it totally with Maria. That was a first love sort of thing, and I miss her so fucking much, but I don’t know if it would’ve been a forever deal if that makes sense.

It’s hard shit, man. 

Thanks, man. Colbie is offering too, so maybe y’all can split up the crew amongst you. Aubree and I are barely ever there together, so it would be nice to go see him.

Yeah, yeah, I’ll take a couple of ‘em and we’ll go to the park and have a picnic and do all the things! You and Aubree can go be with Lil Man for as long as you want. I’m also the World’s Best bedtime story reader, so if I need to put the kids down to sleep, I can probably do that too with little to no tears, not to flex on you or anything. 

I will say that Graham’s the best baby. He can sleep anywhere. We were in a meeting the other day and he fell asleep on Stone’s lap, but he had his ankle on his knee, y’know, so he had cradled himself in the hole between his legs and passed out. He’s a good one. The baby stage has been tough since we’ve not had any kids under one since…. well since I had Chandler. I wouldn’t trade it for the world, though. I love seeing Stone with him.

Man, having a good sleeper is half the battle. You’re lucky. I remember when Iris was really little she had colic and Maria and I were so young - it was some hard shit to deal with. I wasn’t even there for half of it either. Next time around, I’m doing that leg thing you see them do to babies on Tiktok - you know where you like run, run, run with their legs and then they fart? No gassy babies on my watch. 

No, and I know and trust the NICU nurses. They’re good people, and they call me anytime anything is up or if they have any updates. They text me pictures throughout the day and Aubree’s been there half the day to see him so I eat lunch with her on my breaks. It’s not been as awful as it could’ve been, but it’s no walk in the park, that’s for sure.

I couldn’t imagine having a baby in the NICU ever, man. It’s gotta be beyond terrifying. I’m here for you guys, alright? I mean it. We’re family.

They are pretty cool. I will say that. Though technically, you could drink anything out of a copper mug, Luc.

It’s perfect. I like the extra lime. That’s how I like my mojitos too.

Nah, that’s bullshit. If you drank a margarita out of a copper mug I promise you it wouldn’t taste as good. It’s aesthetic or whatever. You’re a girl, damn it, appreciate the mug ambiance. 

Nope. Not really, at least. We played hide and seek in Nora’s house with the kids, but Clover and Ruby got scared, so we had to stop. Not much fun you can have with a little baby either. We love Graham, but he sure is a party pooper sometimes. 

Yo, he’s a cute party pooper though. I been thinking of when I hopefully have another kid someday and I’m like--damn, they require so much effort though. Iris is so self-sufficient now. I def don’t miss the baby stage.

Kids are already asleep. Hit me with it, brother. 

Not gonna lie, half the reason I like these are ‘cause of the copper mugs. 

The baby in the bed next to Benny in the NICU died. The nurses did all they could, but they couldn’t save him, and he was in better condition than Ben. I’m just scared shitless, dude. He’s my baby. He’s my boy. My boy.

Yeah, damn. That’s scary as fuck, man. You just gotta keep your faith. Trust the doctors and nurses. Trust your intuition! You’re smart as fuck too. I know you won’t let ‘em hurt your boy. We’re all praying for him. Iris is so psyched to have a new little buddy.
