What I Have Been Up To~
I have been toiling away although alas not on my draft. I never knew how much admin work could go into trying to be an author. I know people say just write the book first then focus on growth, but in truth all my research tells me that you should be growing an audience *before* the book is out. There also the aspect of your process is now suddenly able to be Content! If you're doing all this work and not posting it- You're losing out on your audience. Opportunities to reach people who will connect with you and therefore, hopefully, your work. I know all independent artist probably experience this, i know i am not unique. The process of becoming the commodity alongside the art you're trying to make.
I am left exhausted and wondering if i am putting the cart before the horse? Is this the only way to get people to read my work? Is this simply inevitable or have i just let social media convince me its necessary? I don't have any real solutions this is just tired musing of a worn out artist endeavoring to do their best. Whatever that looks like.
I went to the Night Market book fair in my town. It was a really interesting experience! I hope I can have a booth with my books at a fair like that one day. These books were from blind dates~ I'm excited to read them since I never would've picked them myself.
Tonight was kind of hard to write not going to lie. Had a bad brain day and just generally tired, but I did it knowing that i should if not for me for y'all...because I said I would ya know??? Even if no one if following i think doing this important, seeing it through is *important*. So heres the word count for tonight and the quote hope y'all like it!!! #writing #challenge #doingmybest
I had to play catch up from yesterday! but we even pulled a head a little tonight. Its still character work. Getting to know these guys has been *rough* haha #wrtingchallenge #oc #dailywrite

Todays progress and quote. I did some character stuff so no progress in the main draft, but I do feel closer to the main protagonist Ada now.
Starting a small challenge for my self to push through the last half of this book! I've somewhat been stuck in the washing machine cycle of planning and decision making. So hopefully this gives me the push forward I need! < 3 #writingchallenge #sciencefiction #mystery #wip
