Intermittent fasting seems to be doing its job! Had one large meal a day for about 5 days now, only eating to my hunger. Not been hungry, had loads of energy, and I’ve lost around 2.5kgs. Feel great! 💪🏻

Bit of quad action this morning! Day two of intermittent fasting in an attempt to limit my intake a bit- I eat wayyy too much!!
Who says diabetics can't run long distance?

I find it bizarre when people put time restraints on relationships. I keep hearing ‘you two are moving fast!’ And ‘you need to be careful’ but tbh who imposed these guidelines and checkpoints that you must abide by? If it feels right and both sides of the relationship are happy and comfortable then why shouldn’t you move fast?
I'll never be a fast runner. Ran this on an injured knee that decided to say heyyy at mile 4, so I'm pretty pleased with this just one week after the London marathon!
London Marathon 2017, done! Raised over £2100 for JDRF. Such a great day, despite messing up my knee half way and having the hobble the second half
I don’t share a lot of diabetes things on tumblr but this one is pretty incredible, so here you go.
I’ll just take a ton of insulin and hate myself later

Hey, You, Go check your blood sugar!
Practicing pacing for the London marathon. Was going for 11min/mile so I'll take 10:59!!!
If you are healthy and not in pain right now, take a minute to appreciate it and be grateful for it.
First appointment for MODY investigations today. Not quite sure what to expect. Hopefully I'll get the answers I'm looking for
15 miles tonight! No glucose required. Starting bg: 5.6mmol/L. Finishing bg: 4.4mmol/L. Getting there with my training for the London marathon. 6 weeks to go!! 🏃🏽♀️💩💪🏻😱

I’m just curious and wanted to hear what kind of variety of info we’re being told. What A1c does your doc consider ideal?
(Mine always wants me around 6.5, generally aiming between 6-7.)
I was diagnosed with an A1c of 14.5 and the diabetic health nurse who did my plan told me to get under 7, but my GP and endo never gave me a specific target. I’ve only had 1 test since (8 months since diagnosis now) and I was 5.6. My endo was pleased and my GP didn’t really comment.
My endo wants me to be at 7. I'm currently at 4.7 and I found him a load of papers demonstrating increased risk of just about everything at around 5.6%. He told me we'd have to 'agree to disagree'. I told him I was entitled to the same blood sugars as him. He didn't have much to say to that.
Am I one of the few people who forget to change the lancet after every prick o.o ? I don't think about it until its like some time later xD have a good day!!!! If someone changes after ever prick I give the totes props!
HAHA I AM LUCKY IF I CANGE IT ONCE EVERY FEW MONTHS!
That sounds so bad when I say it aloud.. But hey it’s true!!
