This was a new development. Not Anna fighting back, no. He remembered very well the hit to the jaw he had taken from her. But the sword? He had never invisioned her to be the type to carry a sword around.

“I don’t have a love, are you as def as you are stupid?” Anna asked, not usually one to be so snark, but when it came to him, he brought out her mean side, all be it small. 

“I heard he was yours now. That the smelly ice man and you were lovers and did everything together,” shrugged Hans before he moved forward. His boots sounded on the cold floor tile.

“He’s a friend, nothing more and why should it matter to you?” the redhead scowled as she took a step back from him, her hand resting on the sword at her waist. 

Hans took a deep breath, collecting himself. Right. He was invading, he and his men who he had amassed for this moment. He was going to take Arrendale by force.

“Kristoff? Why would I be with him?” Her momentary confusion was soon taken over with the realization of what he said and she snorted. “No one in this kingdom will follow you-- you aren't of their royal bloodline and that’s assuming you could beat Elsa, which you can’t.”

Anna froze, nearly dropping the cake she had been carrying when she saw him, for a moment she forgot all of the bad that had happened and thought about what it had been like when they first met, but it had been a long while since that first meeting though and so much had changed. “Hans-- what are you doing here?”
