Tracking and Privacy Issues
If you’ve been on Tumblr or Reddit the last few days, you’ve probably seen posts about big Patreon cc creators tracking packages and sharing info of leaker’s or “potential” leaker’s to other creators.
I want everyone to know you will not have to worry about that here.
As far as I know, to track a package, you must give out individual files through DMs or email. They will add info into each file individually and if that file ends up on a leaker site, they block said person and add them to a list for other creators to block. So if any creators you support does this, they are tracking the package.
A couple years ago I had my early access cc leaked, and was told by some creators to track my packages. But in doing so, it would be me making cc out of spite to catch leakers instead of enjoying creating. So I left for a bit and came back with a better mind set. I always put my personal enjoyment first or else what’s even the point.
Also, I’ve only seen exclusive creators do this. For early access creators it just wouldn’t be worth the hassle and headache of making dozens/hundreds/thousands of altered packages. For exclusive creators though, they feel they need to hold onto their files for monetary reasons.
I would hope no one here would leak my content, especially because it’s early access, not exclusive, but if I found my cc leaked, I would not go to these lengths. You will never be tracked, and you will not have your info shared in creator discords.
Something I want to say though, please be careful with your info. Patreon creators only have access to your Patreon name and email, but if you use your real name + an important email, that can be damaging if the wrong person gets upset with you. So please use nick names and unimportant emails when using Patreon (or any social service for that matter.)
I hope no one worries about being my Patron or feels unsafe. If I ever felt the need to go to these lengths, I would just leave again. I’m here because I enjoy it and I love to see people using my creations and making beautiful things with them. If you have any concerns, please let me know through DMs, comments, or asks on tumblr.
