This was from Last Chapter of Fairy Tail. Gray was being shy and trying to dance around his answer with his feelings. This overall was a big step with him because this was a conformation of his overall feelings for Juvia. One of which the Gruvia Fandom has quoted ever since. But even so Gray was still a little embarrassed to say it out loud.

Gray in 100 year Quest has gone from stuttering his feelings for Juvia to making blunt statements about his feeling; not only that they are in public, they are in the middle of a battle. Something Gray would least likely to do. This is a great representation of Gray’s Character Development, he’s come to terms about his feelings and is becoming more confident about making them public.

The next chapter of 100 year Quest Gray admits that he kissed Juvia when she was dying to maker her water boil-

First Gray said this. On his own whim, like the only other person he acknowledges strength and power is Erza or Natsu. Plus he said it with such a proud and smug face, I haven’t seen him have such a smug face since the beginning of Fairy Tail.

I HAD TO PUT DOWN MY PHONE AFTER WHAT JUVIA SAID. I COULDN’T. She has a way with humor even when she’s in danger, what a queen.

Not only that, GRAY. He did not stop to comment back on her saying “CUCKOLDRY”. He was fucking focused to getting her back with no hesitation. Gray has his mind set to keeping Juvia safe. No Cap

“I’m here Juvia ! ! ”

The beauty of this line is that again Gray didn’t have to say it. He could of just screamed like “Hold on” or “I got you”. But “I’m Here Juvia ! ! ” holds so much more weight because he’s not saying it for Juvia, he’s saying it for himself. The last time Gray said that to Juvia was during the Tartaros Arc, that was to comfort her. Now it’s just taken a whole new meaning of “I’m going to keep you safe this time”. Which really reflects his claim that he wants to be someone that can protect Juvia. || Not only that you can see how destroyed he looks when he couldn’t make it. His eye said “I’ve failed again…” Gray is super serious when it comes to protecting Juvia ever since the Tenrou Island Arc not just after Juvia sacrificing her life for Gray. He’s confident about her strength but that doesn’t mean he can’t be there to help her when she’s in trouble. || Also Gray says Juvia’s name ALOT , like that’s all he can think about atm but who knows he only said she means the world to him 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Juvia is trying to hold her own, she’s not acting helpless or weak. She fights through the pain, so to who ever says that’s she’s weak for getting captured they are fools because it would’ve been logical that water can’t attack wood. Regardless of that she’s still powering through it AS SHE GETTING WATER EXTRACTED OUT OF HER. Have some fucking mercy, we are not on some Mary Sue immortal shit. Only Juvia could be this resilient while she’s in pain.

Not only that Gray again, “Can I even do that” no matter how it can be arranged it will go to the FACT he has Juvia on the mind 24/7, so there’s no possible way he can’t worry as she is in danger in front of him. None of this “These guys are bad news” or “This is tougher than I thought it would be”, it’s “Juvia! Juvia’s captured! Juvia needs me! Don’t let anything happen to Juvia!”

HE SAID DAMN RIGHT

No hesitation, No taking it back. He’s fucking SERIOUS

Gray is not embarrassed, he is not backing down from this statement. “MY” Juvia is Gray’s Purpose. She has always been by his side no matter what, and loyal to him through thick and thin. Even when Gray left Juvia from months she still had faith that he would come back, and even then she wasn’t mad. And I feel like this resonated with him, possibly he feels so strongly about this now because Juvia’s death was a wake up call for him. He ignored her and brushed her feelings off, he left her without notice. Gray was going to confront Juvia about this and acknowledge his feelings for her after the battle, Gray told her this and she agreed to waiting. Then she killed herself for Gray because she couldn’t bare fighting him, his opportunity was gone. He never got to tell her. But then she came back, it was his second chance. He wasn’t going to take her for granted, even so it came with this reflection of himself to become someone who deserves Juvia because Juvia has given so much to Gray.

HE IMPLIED TO KILL JUVIA AND GRAY SWITCH TO “Keep Juvia Safe” to “You are going to die by my hands” Gray would not let Juvia die again by any means, I would like to see Gray go off and chop this dude. Make him the next Invel. Talk about Tsundere to Yandere 🙊(oh how the tables turn)
