A list of 10 lessons learnt from surviving today. 1. So many pretty girls wear scars. 2. Love can be done alone. 3. Cry, cry, cry. It’s gonna be alright. (Please don’t die.) 4. Tous les garçon s'appellent Patrick. 5. On bad days, love yourself more than ever. That’s the challenge of such days. 6. You’re not immune. They haven’t found a cure for unkind words yet. So, it’s okay to be hurt. 7. Even if you think you won’t make it past today, give yourself a chance. You just might. 8. I love you so much. 9. It’s okay to still love the one who left. Even for always. It’s okay. 10. On some days even the sun struggles to be seen. Other days you shine. Because you’re a goddamn star.

Was it a dream or some faded transparent memory of you? I remember the smell of coffee, seeing the sunshine in through the blinds. Hearing white noise from the television and the feeling of your warmth under my cheek. Then I woke up and felt nothing.

Even if we did last forever I think I’d still look back and say, was that it? Forever was never going to be long enough when it came to you.

Don’t romanticize pain, it’s easy to say flattering words about it but when you feel ‘pain’ words won’t be enough

Last November brought me sickness- the worst year of my life. But, last November also brought him back to me. I hope this November does the same.

Time doesn’t heal all things, understanding does. Sadly too much time has passed and I now understand that you did not love me.

Same time last year, 12am, when everyone was in their beds, we used to come out and talk about how cold the weather is and how long the day was. I baked the cake, you brought the tea and we sat down, pretending that time didn’t exist. Now you’re half way across the world, and although it’s still the same time here, you’re 9 hours behind. Today, I baked the cake, but I couldn’t force myself to make the tea. I miss you. Please come back.

I wear a ring that has a four leafed clover shape cut out of it It is a beautiful ring but I don’t wear it because it is pretty I wear it because it reminds me that sometimes we are better with the missing part
