Lattice 156 - Side Effects

A spaghetti and meatball dinner has continued to be my little anniversary celebration every June 3rd! 😄 (It frustrates me how close this arc was to being temporally aligned, but just missed the mark.)

I normally drink about 4 liters of water every day, so going without really was the worst part of surgery for me. 😅

I know it's a little anticlimactic, but this was how I actually experienced the surgery; which is to say that I didn't. 😂

The time has come! (And I'll bet a lot of people forgot it's a wig! 😁)

Ah, the eternal debate of who to tell what and why...

For the few of you out there trying to keep track of my timeline, I actually got my first wig pretty soon after this and before the surgery itself.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for circumventing a broken institution like US healthcare, but I don't want to cause any issues for Flourish or Rebirth.

And yeah, of course I've had that dream. 😅

She really did mean well. 😅 I ended up being friends with the guy all the way through high school.

I don't know why I did this to myself, I have such difficulty in drawing child proportions. 😅 But hopefully, the fully inverted panel surround will be better for denoting these peeks into my deeper past.

I know, I skipped over that story I keep alluding to; it's not quite time yet to share it.

This was a fun comic to make, especially the timelapse shot. Plus, I'm already in the habit of drawing myself in eye makeup, so had to go back in and erase it for the last few panels. 😅
