I lay in bed quietly

During those late hours,

Where it feels like you're

The only person on Earth.

I type quickly,

Thumbs flying across the keyboard as I respond

To the only boy that matters.

We are the only people alive,

Surviving off of each other's smile.

My heart aches,

Threatening fly out of my chest and across town,

Seeking it's true home.

I blink away the cloud in my vision.

I taste salt as it rains onto my pillow.

I cry, but not out of pain or sadness.

I cry for there is too much love in my soul,

And it must overflow somewhere.

My tears make a home in my pillow,
