What if the witches were just as essential to the magical balance of the universe as fairies are?

What if the witches were once respected and loved?

What if that all changed when the three ancestral witches attacked Domino, and now the witches were less trusted?

What if Griffin fought bravely to see the light and save the day just like the rest of the company of light, but she wasn’t trusted because she was a witch who used to work for Valtor?

What if she became alone, demonized and forgot her old self as she grew older and the world continued to believe that all witches would eventually succumb to the darkness?

What if the witches lost their way, because they forgot that they are healers, helpers and seers, just like the world forgot it?

*skurries away*

I drew the boisss

These are my redesigns for all of the winx club specialists (and Nabu), I actually drew this a while ago, but I seem to have forgotten to post it.

THE MERMAIDS OF ANDROS

All of their casual, winx and enchantix outfits are redesigned and done. I'm honestly really proud of them and it took forever. I have a few mistakes in the fact that Tecna and Aisha both have purple and green as their main colors, and Flora also has green, but I think I got away with it okay, having different undertones and skin/hair colors to help seperate them.

And omg I am really quite proud of it. It’s honestly so much fun to work with her style and hairstyles and that lovely colorscheme. Most of her design is focused on making her seem adventurous (rather than sporty, as the later seasons see her as) and with a feminine soft touch over the style, because she really is a rather shy, sweet person.

A thing that’s been an ongoing discussion in the fandom has been whether Aisha should have her classic waves, or a more natural, textured style like the reboot. And I thought “why not both?” And gave her godess braids, because they’re gorgeous and have those waves in them. I then gave her beads at the bottom for cuteness and a golden string wrap around one of the face framing twists that have the roman numerals I XIV XIV V, which when put into the alphabet gives us the name “Anne” her childhood friend. I thought that Aisha would want to honor and remember her, and so always carries Anne with her.

I finally have a design for her enchantix and i was a struggle, but we got there, and I really love the result.

Musa redesign ✨🎶

I absolutely love Musa and her style and powers, but it has been damn difficult to work with here.

Her casual outfit is a sorta reworked version of her classic season 1 look. I could have done a bit more imo, but there’s a reason it’s a classic. I just decided that she would carry her iconic purple headphones around her neck (totally didn’t do that because I carry my headphones around my neck)

Her magic winx is inspired by dance outfits, and is meant to look like she could dance in it, just with big boots because they’re fucking awesome. Her wings are meant to look like piano keys.

Her enchantix was a struggle, because “music” and “tomboy” is kinda hard to make in an elegant style. So I took my inspiration from traditional chinese fashion with details and patterns that allude to the musical magic. The wings have curving lines to look like a musical sheet, and the bottom part (while not very visible) is inspired by the g-note, because Galatea’s wings are honestly gorgeous. The gloves are styled after mucisian’s gloves, and I feel like they keep some of that tomboy vibe by being fingerless. I kept the same fairy bottle, but without the flowers, because I feel like it connects to her mother somehow.

Flora redesign sheet

Omg I love drawing her so much she’s so beautiful

Flora has always been amongst my favorite of the winx, so any time I get to draw her is a good day

A lot of people view Flora’s style as being cottagecore, and I think that’s pretty valid, but I got inspired by the Lynphea outfits from season 6 and decided to go with a sorta boho whimsagoth vibe. With natural fibers, hand sewn all around, sustainable and directly from nature. I also imagined that she wouldn’t wear shoes, because it helps her connect to the ground underneath her (I was gonna add mud to her feet and skirt hem, but I forgot it)

Her magic winx is just “I’mma put her in a flower and make it work” and I think I made it work. The idea is to mix cute and sweet with mature and elegant. She’s still not wearing shoes, but she has some flowers bound with vines to around her ankles to compensate.

Full Stella redesign, including enchantix ✨

Stella is fun to draw through and through. So fun it becomes difficult to pick just 1 outfit for her civilian outfit, but I tried.

I gave her the iconic green and orange combo, but with green acting as an accent, and having more blue in her design to balance out her sun and moon powers. In my version she deeply loves her planet, both sun and moon side, desprite being seperated more from her Mom’s side of the planet. The freckles on her face are meant to represent stars, which represent the people of her Planet.

Her magic winx is meant to be a slightly more complex and more fantasy version of her classic magic winx, with more blue in the design to represent her moon side. She only has star symbols in this form, becuase she doesn’t have the sun and moon powers yet (I have some lore plans for that, but basically the sun and moon powers are given to her as a symbol of her becoming more mature, either guardian fairy or Queen, I haven’t decided yet) however her wings have both of those symbols to foreshadow her fate.

I know that my posts are far in between, but I am back yet again to show yall my Bloom redesign sheet/spread thing that includes now her enchantix ✨

For Bloom’s magic winx, I really wanted to take inspiration from her pilot design and from princessy, fantasy elements because she’s a dreamer and always had her ideas of what the magical universe looked like (even if it didn’t turn out like she expected)

Her enchantix is mostly based around fire and draconic elements, since I wanted my version of enchantix to be very deeply tied to the fairie’s powers and home planet. The crown she wears in her magic winx is similar to the one that Miriam (her bio mom) wears and becomes dragon horns in her enchantix.

The long flowey pieces of fabric is meant to mimic the same that Daphne has in her nymph form, because Bloom looks to her about how she should act as a fairy.

I don’t have something to specifically tie her to her bio father or adoptive parents, but I imagine that she has Oritel (bio dad)’s eye color and I’ll probably come up with something for Mike and Vanessa. Maybe the bracelets Bloom wears are meant to be for them or her hair is styled like her adoptive parents. Idk yet.
