The 100th piece I ever did for Artfight. And now I feel absurdly emotional about it. This one goes to a very special person in my life, a bright star even in bleak times.

A 2026 refresher on the main trio of my comic project, Salmon Road!

Story follows Whitney, an insular handyman, as she is given sudden guardianship of her rambunctious kid sister, Clementine.

Together they struggle to navigate the drastic change in lifestyle - Whitney more comfortable with solitude and Clementine unaccustomed to the boring, nothing town that is Bluegill Springs. Or at least that's how it seems on the surface.

First time using the new watercolours from W&N I bought for a full piece. Also. On proper cotton paper, which indeed does make a difference in what you can do with the colours and flow. Been a bit of a hot minute since I drew myself but I make progress in getting things back in order that fell to the wayside in the last few years, and I do feel more and more like myself lately so... here we are.
