Nico as an attending and kicking out every attending that ever kicked Levi out of surgery. Nico waiting until they’re all scrubbed in, gloved and gowned, only to say, “Okay you’re out. I don’t need you after all.”

It is like WOW.

I need to know what was going on in Nico’s head. What did he see in Levi when he first saw him. He literally spoke no words and made no eye contact with Levi before he decided in the middle of a freaking surgery that “Yo, imma make dat disaster boy mine” and bust out a heart stopping body debilitating wink. And afterwards, it was like Nico was testing the waters, like a too-late after thought. And he wasn’t overly pushy about it either. It was very careful. It wasn’t, “I’m going to buy this man a drink and then relentlessly flirt with him” It was, “I’m going to buy this man a drink and LEAVE and hope the stars align again.”

So NO sometimes I can’t believe it worked and they’re so in love because they almost completely missed each other what with Levi not picking up on Nico’s cues and being confused about his own sexuality and Nico literally rejecting Levi after such a revelation (for both of them, really) and now that I’m typing this out, of course it takes a damn windstorm that almost kills them to bring them together.

Fellowship year didn’t leave room for relationships but that doesn’t mean he can’t have a little fun. His sisters are always telling him he works too hard. It’s not like he’s going to fall in love.

The perfect opportunity presents itself in the middle of Nisha’s surgery.

He’d noticed the intern earlier when he and Link were called down for the consult. A little short, a little scruffy, cute. Exactly his type.

So, when he glances up and sees him standing directly in front of him and watching him closely he sees it as the universe telling him to take his shot.

He winks and the intern immediately drops what he’s holding.

Still got it, Kim.

The next day he watches as Schmitt assists Dr. Avery on an impossible surgery to save Nisha’s life. He wants to say something as they exit the chamber but he doesn’t have the words.

Later at Joe’s he gets a second chance when he sees him sitting with the other interns at the bar. He knows exactly how this will play out. Buy him a beer, say something witty and flirtatious, walk away leaving him wanting more.

You’ve got to be careful with these things. You can’t just grab someone and kiss them after all.

He grabs him and kisses him as soon as the elevator doors close. They’ve spent the entire day together and he’s come to realize he likes Levi more than he’d ever intended.

Levi who is endearingly awkward, handsome, an so freaking smart that he has all of Nico’s plans for an easy fling thrown out in favor of the warm and tingly feeling of a crush. He has him questioning his entire stance on relationships during fellowship year and it’s terrifying.

He takes the easy out he’s presented and he’s not proud of it. Part of him wants to walk right back into that elevator and blindly fall into Levi’s arms and all the feelings of possibility.

From the moment you pick them up, they’re so close to each other. And yeah, you’re happy for them. Of course you are.

But it’s kinda disheartening because they never actaully tell you about the tour. They just talk amongst themselves the whole ride home.

When you get home, they both say they’re really tired and head to bed. While you have work to do, so you tell them that you’ll join them later. When you go to bed, they’re so closely cuddled together that you don’t even join them. You just sleep in the guest room. It’s easier for you than sleeping next to them when they’re so close but you’re not anywhere near.

What you don’t know, is that Luke cries when he wakes up and sees that you never came to bed that night. Or that Ashton doesn’t know what to think when he finds you in the guest room instead.

When you walk in on the two of them, they expect you to join them. Ashton immediately gets happy when he sees you. But then you just back out the room.

That carries on for a few days. You feel like there’s a barrier between you and them. Like they’ve got this bond that you can’t access.

It carries on until one day, Ashton walks into the kitchen and backs you up against the wall. He kisses you with a harshness that’s unusual for him. Although you haven’t exactly bee kissed by him for a while.

“What the hell is wrong with you?” he asked, not letting you move away, “why have you been avoiding us? What did we do? Luke cries himself to sleep every night? What happened?”

He starts off angry and then just goes sad. He genuinely doesn’t understand what they did.

You kinda just broke down at that moment. Tellling him how him and Luke barely spoke to him. How you felt like there was a barrier between you and them.

Ashton kinda just collapses and pulls you into his arms then. It’s then that you realize how much he missed you. His hands are shaking and his nuzzling his head into your neck. Not wanting to let go.

When Luke gets home, he finds the two of you sitting on the kitchen floor in each other’s arms. He doesn’t question what happened, he just joins you.

It may seem like he’s a creep, but this guy is one of the only men on Grey’s Anatomy, aside from Alex in the more recent seasons, who doesn’t degrade the women around him, but actually empowers them. He was there to help Amelia get her confidence back after she got her tumor removed, he encouraged April to find her religion, he was understanding with Catherine, he even helped Merideth get through that flight. Not to mention how genuine and non-objectifying (?) He is with Teddy?

In conclusion Tom Koracick is a great man who treats women with respect and understands how to help them grow and develop. Unlike certain other men who blame all of their issues on women who don’t act and react like he wants them to.
