Which dynamic do you enjoy more?

Serious, but fond Blake and flirty, dorky, confident Yang (V1-3); or silly, smiley, open Blake with hesitant and flustered Yang (V7-9).

Both is also a valid answer, cause it’s my answer, but I’m wondering if you’ve got a small bias towards one.

I don't like middle grounds to be honest, and as much as I love both of these scenarios, I'm leaning a bit more towards silly, smiley, open Blake with hesitant and flustered Yang (V7-9). ^.^

Seeing Blake come out of her shell completely has been sooo satisfying, while Yang easily getting flustered by her lovely partner melts my heart. <3

All we can hope for in volume 10 is that now that they are officially together the dynamics merge to be serious but openly fond Blake and confident but flustered by beauty Yang

Blake openly admiring Yang's strength (both physical and mental), maybe some acknowledgement from someone other than a person trying to kill her that Blake is so obvious when she stares

Yang no longer hiding how she feels behind humor and just letting herself be in complete earnest awe of Blake. Like no "love it when your fiesty" no "you have cat ears", just "god you're gorgeous" breathlessly whispered

I made a post a few days ago about how I think it was always quite obvious Blake and Yang were endgame, and some people got mad.

Look, if you don't ship them, I don't actually gaf. If you prefer Blake with Sun, I get it. That's fine. Yes, my phrasing was overgeneralizing but I stand by what I said. Because I wouldn't have said it if I didn't have reason to.

I just recently got into RWBY, and I love it. Now, I usually don't spoil stuff for myself, but for years I've been aware that Blake and Yang were the main couple, and I knew roughly about the plot of the show. So when I decided to actually watch it, I looked into it first. I wanted to see what people were saying. I checked out the Blake/Yang tag on a03 (I'm watching it for them. I love the show in general but I started it for bumbleby).

I almost didn't watch the show because of what I saw. Sure, there were some convos that criticized the writing and stayed respectful, there were some conversations from people who don't like Blake and Yang together that didn't veer into homophobic territory, but I saw too much negativity. And yes, I am spoiled. Pretty much every fandom I've ever been in is wildly accepting and progressive (and sapphic ship focused), so I'd never seen such negativity regarding a sapphic ship before, but its still horrible even if its more prevalent than I'd thought. I didn't want to be apart of a fandom that seemed to have so much bigotry.

And don't get me started on the ao3. I saw that Blake and Yang had a lot of fics. You can imagine my horror when I realized how many of them featured "lesbian breaking" themes (the word lesbian isn't typically what was used. It was the D slur).

I was maybe too broad in the way I expressed my opinion, and I think its fine to ship other ships. Blake is bi anyways. There's genuinely nothing wrong with that. But I said what I said for a reason, and I'm not crazy for it. What I saw was so jarring that I almost didn't start the show.

Definitely some cursed shit in ao3 but there are a lot of really good authors, off the top of my head, check out Thornwood, Katsuki, Chaoticevilspacewitch, the fic "Fictional Relationships" is a classic. I can get more later when I get a chance to go through my bookmarks. General advice avoid fics with any sense of Jaune harem and you should be good

You can bet your ass she'll choose to be smug about the one area of the English language that she's actually pretty studied up on. Riddler's never been on the receiving end of the Cass-sass before. He's a man famous for having the most fragile ego in human history, it might actually just disintegrate him on contact.

I’m not gonna pretend like I don’t know why Yang’s making this face nor invalidate it but it’s just so fucking funny to me. Look at the way she’s looking at Blake. This diva would go on to look at that same girl with so much tenderness after she gets a fucking haircut. She’d eventually go out of her way to spend as much time as possible with her, going on multiple “non-romantic” dates at any opportunity. She’d stand precariously on a rope bridge across from the girl she’s giving the stink-eye to here and say “I think I love you,” before pulling her in for a passionate kiss as flowers bloom around them. All that is true, and here she is before then, giving the love of her life the stink-eye for daring to suggest they be alone together for only a moment. God I love gay people.

From what I've seen of RWBY it was so OBVIOUS that Yang and Blake were the plan the whole time. Like what do y'all mean it was forced? This is a slow burn masterpiece.

Just say that you don't like when girls are gay and move along. Just say you didn't want your favorite female characters to be sapphic. Just be honest. You don't have to come up with elaborate and far fetched reasoning as to why they shouldn't have been a romantic pairing.

Even in my darkest moments, when I say to myself "there really isn't that much evidence in the early volumes" I remember, there's more evidence for them than most other dynamics. Like they were given equal screen time as Pyrrha's crush on Jaune. Their angsty moments were paired with Renora. And when they were finally the last ship on screen in volume 9, the ante upped all the way
