In Okinawan dialect, the Hibiscus tiliaceus (sea hibiscus) is called Yuuna. The flower meaning is 楽しい思い出 (tanoshii omoide = happy memories). Considering her ending words in FFX, it's very apt for her and her story. The sea hibiscus grows in coast areas, just like Besaid. It's a one-day flower, meaning it blooms in the morning and falls at sunset. It's yellow when it blooms and slowly grows orangier and then red at sunset, when it falls. i actually watched look back twice when it came out in the uk and sobbed all the way through the first watching from the start of the movie until the end. i also cried the second time. i also cried when i watched it the third time a while later. i will think about this movie and manga until the end of times
