re: baby twitch art i keep thinking about how twitch looked like That (or. closer to that than their current look) when they found grace. they weren't even blue yet. they just stole grace's coat and his entire colour motif along with it
also from grace's pov a stranger stole his bloodstained coat from his presumed corpse, still with the hole where he got stabbed, still covered in ice and cannibalism blood, gross and trauma stained after a 4 year long expedition, which was already weird as hell. why would you do that.
but then when he sees them months later they've reinvented their entire appearance around his corpse stab coat. they're still wearing it. and they got cunty boots to match
also grace only met them again because he was working in concord square and twitch got arrested and dragged unconscious into the holding cell like a limp noodle (in the corpse stab coat. and cunty boots). which did not make things any less weird
baby captain born 5 minutes ago in the cage gardens. they don't know what they're doing but they're just happy to be here. zailing sure is fun :3 sure hope everything stays normal for them
design notes since i put too much thought into it:
i tried 1 million different outfits but nothing worked other than big coat big hat. twitch was fighting me
so i figured well if twitch crashes out of the cage gardens with an idea of who twitch is. then twitch knows they want big coat big hat from day one
yes this is just clothes stolen/gifted by various zailors no they have never bought their own coat ever
nothing fits her. rope belt to hold up the pants. pants too big And too short. coat too big and too short. hat falling to pieces
their shirt is literally just a men's undershirt. wildly inappropriate for 1899 but they don't mind. scandalous
15 years in the cage gardens would matt their hair beyond saving so they just cut it all off. badly. no they will not let anybody fix it
they get the glasses from day 1. crucial
if you think 5 year old twitch was bad this twitch is 10000x worse. they came out Swinging. they have not experienced a single consequence yet and their brain is REALLY loud and they are doing whatever they want and what they want is ???????????????. so they're going to try everything at once. and she's having a blast doing it🔥🔥🔥🔥

For all the times I've mentioned that Jones is a pianist I've never actually gotten around to drawing it... mostly because it would involve drawing a piano. It's a childhood habit he picked up and honed in London, favouring either folk songs or infernal jazz. Wells isn't especially musical, but likes to join in on the activity in the way he knows how.

Hero is definitely the little spoon, and she definitely would punch someone in the face if they implied that she would be the little spoon. However I don't think she ever pretends to hate it in the presence of Shiloh cause he would see through her bullshit anyway.
🍷- Who gets tipsy first & starts spilling embarrassing love confessions?
Unfortunately I do think it's sticks. Especially because he rarely loosens up so when he's a little tipsy he's actually relaxed and will just start flirting and being all lovey dovey. He definitely is also like ten times more clingy and will wrap his arms around Hermán's waist and give him sneaky neck kisses (even if they are in public if he's got enough drink in him).
🧳 - If they had to run away together tomorrow, where would they go?
Saying NORTH is too obvious 🤣 and it's not fully correct either, because Butch decided to no longer seek. I think Butch would want to run away to the tomb colonies because he finds them oddly comforting. It also would be a place where Ivy could feel more able to heal and they could be away from too many prying eyes but not too far as to not be able to see their other partners. Though, Butch would've run away anywhere with Ivy if it meant she didn't go NORTH without him. 🫠
