This is made for The Hot Summer 2026 Challenge☀️

First of all, please forgive me it's a very crappy video, it’s almost been 8 years since I last edited anything😂 but it's the only thing I can do, and we scheffliroy believers must stand up!!

The music is Always Summer from the movie Brideshead Revisited, it's one of my favorite soudtracks, as soon as I saw the theme for this challenge, this instantly came to my mind.

And A BIG shoutout to Flap @oof-ouch-yikes-stripes <3 I absolutely adore your fic Proximity! The first section is based on that amazing fic, where they were teammeats/roommates in UT, I couldn't find many material to work with, so please bear with me(sobs

I'm so curious about the snippets you gave about the fedal fic you had partially drafted earlier on, what was the plotline? Was it similar to the jannik/Carlos story, bc I loved that!

Ahhh I’d totally just share the gdoc but all my tennis fics are on the same file so it’s kinda awkward

Tbh it’s very background heavy. The initial idea was for an outsider pov fic of a reporter on Rafa coming back from a one year unexplained absence. At the same time as the press conference Roger is photographed with a baby and people are like A BABY??? And the rest of the fic continues with the reveal and the fact that it’s actually twins.

Most of what I had written was the background of their meeting/their scent suppressants failing/and Rafa being an omega and how society acted about it. So lots of world building before i realized it would’ve been a very long fic and I wasn’t ready for it. The world building is of course recycled in to abrc. Plus there was also the issue of writing dialog for Rafa where his English wasn’t perfect but that’s another post entirely

Tldr I didn’t have a plot line but the domestic nature of the abrc is probably what I intended
