Omw to destroy a monster camp!!!!!!
âThere are too many monster camps aroundâ yea WHATEVER. The loot is so worth it so who cares
I just remembered that I got scolded for taking this old manâs baked apple a few weeks ago
you should go back and take more of his baked apples
Uuunfortunately heâs missingâŚBut I am currently in the small little cliff that provides coverage- the exact same place where I stole his Apple, hehe- to bake both apples and meat! You want some when Iâm done?
Sure :]
Where are you getting these apples from, out of curiosity? I didn't think you had a farm..
Good to know.
I donât think Apple trees need to have a farmâŚI meant, theyâre pretty much everywhere. You just gotta look aroundand bam, thereâs an apple tree.
...really? that's not how it is in my hyrule. that's... interesting
can i see one of the apples?
Yea sure!
[He tosses you an ordinary looking Apple. Itâs a warm red, there doesnât seem to be anything dark tainting it. Except for the slight bruise it has from probably falling.]
Howâs it like in yours, then?
*he observes the apple, cracking it in half evenly and looking it over before tossing the two halves back to you*
well, most of the trees don't grow fruit unless they're domesticated, and if you do find fruit in the wild, there's a significant chance it's poisonous. all the fruit has to be hand-grown and tended to
[He catches the two halves, but doesnât put them aside. With one eyebrow arched, he hands you the cut apple back, and retrieves his hand before you can hand it back.]
Keep it. They taste pretty good, and theyâre sweet! Itâs a pretty rad snack, even when you donât feel like eating.
[He smiles at the other, which seems to be akin to that of a smirk ever so slightly.]
âŚYea, no. I donât think I would survive a minute in your Hyrule. That sounds like torture, honestly, nitpicking every food you findâŚUgh.
[He shudders and grimaces. Yea, he would have long since been poisoned there.]
Fee free to stay around the plateau, by the way.
...thank you
and, yea, it's a bit of hard work but you get used to it. you learn to clean and cook everything you eat really fast
Donât mention it.
So, you rinse it with nearby water before throwing the food in a pot or in a fire?
[He asks to confirm.] Well, how would just rinsing it rid of the poison? Or are there other ways to get rid of the poison?
[âŚHe doesnât realize he said his internal questions out loud.]
well, it really depends on the type of food. most poisonous plants are poisonous, period, but some can be cooked out... kind of like how you add alcohol to fruit cake but the finished product isn't alcoholic?
liquids have to be filtered properly to avoid disease, and meat should always be washed and cooked, all the way
hell, even my home-grown fruits i wash out of caution. and if i find rot or parasites in any of them i have to root it out. thoroughly.
...i suppose people can also just. buy food from the store but oftentimes that wasn't an option for me
hmâŚYea, makes sense- wait, itâs in the water too?!
[He thought the poison was just in the food! He really wouldnât survive in whatever hell heâs living in. That would make anyone paranoid of getting food poisoning!]
Augh, thatâs rough. Wouldnât wish that on anyone.
[He grimaces, shaking off his previous shock with a shake of his head.]
But rooting out things are fun! I like to do that when Iâm bored.
[His face lights up as he smiles carefreely, deciding to blissfully ignore how annoyed the other sounded at having to root out his fruits.]
[Wait. Food from the store?]
And, uhâŚhow, exactly, do you do that?
[âŚWhat even is a store, anyways?]
...buy food? with, uh, rupees? money? there are usually stores in towns like, uh... Hateno, i think
[Hateno?]
Sounds weird.
[Weirdly familiar, to be specific. Honestly going to buy it from someone else when you can just wander a little and find what you were looking for sounds pretty unnecessary]
eh *he shrugs* it's how most people get their food in my era
...how much do you remember? of anything
Well, good for them. [It sounds like a better choice than nitpicking every food they find for them]
[Remember? Weird question. {It almost reminds him of that ladyâs voice telling him to remember.}]
UhâŚ.I remember that I woke up surrounded by water. If, thatâs what you mean?
mm, i figured-- you still have quite a bit of amnesia don't you?
âŚAmnesia?
[He suddenly feels his heart ache for asking so many questions. Or is it because heâs been talking so much? The feelings weirdly familiar, but it doesnât feel like his own feelings.]
mhm
*he looks you over, noticing your uncomfortableness* ..what's your usual technique for baking the fruit and meats? like, do you put them on stick or use a cooking pot or...?
[âŚHe has to ask what amnejia is to the Old Man when he finds him.]
[His focus is quickly swayed, however, at the mention of food, and he lights up right away- his smile returning as if nothing was amiss in the first place.]
Oh, I just throw them in the pot or the fire!
I occasionally cut them before I do. Sometimes, because it takes a good while to cut them.
...you mean the pot over the fire right? you dont throw food directly in the fire... right?
âŚ
[He glances over at the apples heâs thrown into the fire just a few minutes ago when he pulled out an apple for Legend to take.]
âŚYea.
[He silently kicks the apples away and out the fire with his boots.]
Yea.
*he puts his head in his hands*
please don't set yourself on fire
I wonât!
[He smirks carefreely and brushes the otherâs concerns off. He does not concern himself with the consequences of sticking his foot into the fire. Itâs not like his boots have ever caught on fire when he was quick enough to pull it out. Just like he did now.]
*muffled* im gonna start demanding monetary compensation for all they gray hairs you guys are gonna give me. im not even twenty.
are the apples at least good when you cook them that way?
Yea! Theyâre so much better when cooked in the fire. Sometimes theyâre burnt but, they still taste fine!
[He chooses to ignore his muffled complaints.)
*sigh* i suppose i have no right to question your methods then
just- *he tosses you a pack of burn cream* if you ever do burn yourself, take care of it properly
Yea, haha!
[âŚIâm so sorry but he immediately mistook the cream as something edible. He will be trying to eat it later.]
Whyâd you give me this?
[He looks at the cream in his hands, unsure what exactly it is. It looks like whipped cream? He thinks.]
Yea yea, not like Iâll get burnt. There isnât any way for me to get burnt other than the fires anyways, if anything itâs pretty cold on the great plateau so I wonât be burnt.
[He says, smirking as he does so. His logic is that of a childâs. There is something deeply stupid with him.]
That's-- not how that works
The cream is-- you put it over a burn, and-- I see that look in your eyes, do not eat it-- it heals the wound and brings relief
[That went in one ear and out the other.]
[He pouts once heâs told not to eat it and scoffs, but doesnât object. Aw man. He was looking forward to that!]
SoâŚonly for burns, right?
[He sets aside his broken dreams (dramatic much) and asks that to confirm, pout now gone.]
only for burns, yes
so... *he lays back, putting his hands behind his head* how long have you been on this plateau?
I see. [So, only for burnsâŚOkay, noted.]
Uh.
[Good question. How long has he been stuck here?]
âŚAbout three or four weeks? Not too sure, I didnât really count.
Hm. Are there any monsters around, or is it just you and the old man?
There are a lot of them around here, especially in the forest. And, I havenât really seen the Old Man in about two weeks. I last saw him at the Time Temple, and after that I havenât been able to find him.
Hm. Did he say anything to you at the time temple? besides scolding you for taking his apple
âŚ.IâŚ.didnât listen to what he said thenâŚ.In my defense it was pretty hard to hear him say when he was talking at the roof while I just got done praying inside!
that's fair, i've had to figure out stuff on my own too when i zoned out during the explanation
maybe there's some kind of clue on the plateau to what you're meant to do. or maybe you're supposed to climb down. who knows?
Iâve been looking, but I canât climb down nor jump down from the plateau. I keep waking back on the plateau and itâs SO annoying.
Clues?âŚEr, I mean, maybe I could ask the Goddess?..Iâll keep an eye out for hints, tho
mm, knowing hylia... maybe you're supposed to offer something to the goddess?
ErâŚI donât really have anything to offerâŚI mean, when I first prayed there, I offered her these four purple orbs I collected in the Shrines, and she gave me a stamina vessel in exchange! But, I canât really go to the other Shrines because theyâre off limits and have no more purple orbsssâŚ
hm... maybe you're meant to find something else then. have you checked for secret compartments and doorways around her?
There are little Hylia statues around her, but no secret doorwayâŚI may or may not have [cough cough] accidentally set off a bomb there. [cough cough] so I can guarantee that there is no secret door. It would have been sooo cool thoughhhhâŚ..
well... you said something about completing the shrines.. maybe there's one you haven't seen yet? like up way high or hidden in a cave or something..?
I thought so too, hnmmmâŚ.Iâll look around the snowy mountain again latteer, when I have more spicy peppers and food to last me long enough to stay there a while!!
...you have interesting methods
*he tosses you a jacket that you have no idea where he got it from* there. that should help with the cold
[He catches the jacket with wonder. He doesnât even think to question where Legend pulled that out of, he just immediately starts looking at and over the jacket, examining it.]
Oh snap. Thanks!
no problem, it pays to have backup supplies
[âŚHe doesnât really get that. He was born just a few weeks go heâs still stupid ok? Ok]
You pay for it to have backup supplies?
[He asks, sounding genuinely confused because he very much is.]
...yea, i shouldve phrased that better. i meant having backup supplies helps. it's beneficial
Oh. Well, I have a lot of backup supplies! I currently have, what, 56 something apples on me! Iâm gonna restock on some of my other stuff, like fish and honey, but I think my other supplies are fine-dandy!!
that's good, at least you're prepared for things
mm, maybe there's like, a target you're supposed to shoot to reveal something secret. that's how i've found stuff before
Maybe? Do monsters count?
possibly, but i was talking about those eye things, typically over doors or hiding elsewhere
though maybe there is a boss monster you're meant to kill
[âŚSo, Keese?] Keese?
Do the Guardians count as a boss monster?
...i have a feeling that what i'm talking about isn't in your era
well, did you beat one before or not yet?
[Link shrugs at that, as he doesnât understand what type of monster sits at the doorframe that isnât a Keese.]
âŚNo. Last I saw them, I was trying to go to a Shrine and one of the ruined Guardians just- activated and I panicked and immediately ran to the shrine.
I just remembered that I got scolded for taking this old manâs baked apple a few weeks ago

Oh snap. Thanks!

Itts so WIMDY
