Imagine:

L Hayson is a transmigrating, muggle-born witch from the 21st century who managed to stop a goblin rebellion and start up a shop while attending school.

But now Professor Fig is gone, Rookwood's lot are scattered, and the Keepers have left her with their remnants to do with as she pleases.

It would please her to have a distraction from her thoughts.

She never had time before to think about whether she's a missing person in her world, or if her mom is okay. Was there a body left behind, or will her family never have closure?

She wishes she could've said goodbye.

Time magic is considered impossible, so transmigrations must be some kind of sick joke to the wizarding world. She can't tell anyone, and she refuses to burden her friends with her issues more than they already are.

Natty is sweet company but a little too headstrong. Poppy is grounded but has family issues of her own. Sebastian knows of her ancient magic, but he's lost his playful spark. Penny, the sweet and dutiful elf, is an absolute blabbermouth. Everett is always down for a flight around the castle, but he's just as irresponsible as Gerreth.

Maybe she should treat her old life as though they are dead, not like she can say goodbye or go back. But it feels wrong when she doesn't even have a grave to mourn.

She needs something stronger than Butterbeer.
