Fen blinked. Once, twice, three times; ice-blue eyes unwilling to shed the stupid rush of tears that suddenly made an appearance. He wasn’t sure what he had been expecting from the freakin’ god of mischief. From the absolute asshole who had tried to take over the world a few years ago.

Yeah, Fen had followed the news when that all happened. Didn’t exactly mean to. It just... He remembered stuff, okay? His mom going on about how his dad was a god, how it meant she was some sort of powerful being for having his kid, blah-blah-blah-blah-blah.

The social worker’s chalked it up to the drugs, her being absolute batshit crazy, a manipulator. So had he for the most part.

Until 2012 that is, when gods and aliens actually started falling out of magic portals in the sky. For a while, he had hoped. Maybe. A stupid decision considering his dad was apparently the villain to that story, a power-hungry, egotistical asshole who thought the world should kneel or some shit. But Fen was nine and seeing the man, or god, as it turned out, who was supposedly his dad and up to that point just another one of his mom’s hallucinations, actually standing there being broadcasted on channel nine...

He had hoped. Wanted. A lot.

“You...” Fen hiccupped, swallowed heavily and then cleared his throat before swiping a hand quickly over his eyes.

“You asshole.” His voice rose, ice-blue eyes meeting Loki’s. “You fucking JERK!!!! YOU KNEW AND YOU NEVER SAID A THING!!!!! I DON’T WANT ANYTHING FROM YOU, YOU ABSOLUTE PIECE OF SHIT!!! I NEVER WANTED A THING!!!!!!!!”

“I still cannot believe...” Thor said with a huff.

“Oh come on, Thor, I have done way worse in the past, and yet you still can’t wrap your head around this?” Loki rolled his eyes.

“You’re NoobMaster69! You were harassing our friend Korg!” Thor exclaimed, taking a bite of his food.

“I was not, and he’s your friend.” Loki corrected. “Can we not get so worked up about it? I came here to relax.”

Thor nodded hesitantly. “You owe him an apology.”
