I actually think Scout would be a decent cook (not Good but like. Self-sufficient) based on his upbringing. From what I've seen from households with 4+ children, especially latchkey kids, a lot of the kids learn to cook basic meals around middle school age because it's just easier than coordinating one big mealtime for everyone. The problem I do think Scout would have is that since said households tend to be a bit of a free-for-all, he's kind of territorial about food. He cooks for himself and if someone asks for some he takes it as them trying to mooch off of him. Spy tries to convince him to cook smth for Miss Pauling as part of the Expiration Date Situation and he's just like "but if she wants food she can just make it herself??? Lol????" and Spy has to leave to bang his head against a counter
