I’ve seen a lot of posts on my dash tonight about users who are threatening suicide, with other Tumblr members posting in effort to try to get ahold of them. I think you all should see this:

IF THERE IS EVER A TUMBLR USER WHO HAS POSTED A GOOD-BYE MESSAGE, SUICIDE NOTE, VIDEO, OR ANYTHING OF THE SORT, PLEASE FOLLOW THIS POST.

1. Scroll to the top of your dashboard.

2. See the circular question mark icon at the top? It’s the third one over from your home symbol. Click on that, and a screen similar to the one in the picture will come up.

3. Where you can type in questions, the box with the magnifying glass at the top, type in the word “suicide.”

4. Click on the first link that shows up. It should say, “Pass the URL of the blog on to us.”

5. Type in the user’s URL and tell Tumblr admin that the user is contemplating suicide and has posted a message indicating that they are going through with it or will be attempting. Hit send! Tumblr administration will perform a number of actions to contact the user and take the necessary steps to prevent the suicide.

TUMBLR: THIS COULD SAVE A USER’S LIFE. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE SUICIDE THREATS.

who is/are your kpop idol birthday twins? and if you don’t have someone from a group you stan, which idol from a group you stan has the birthday closest to yours? and which member in your ult group(s) has a bday close to yours?

for me it’s kevin from the boyz and donghyun from golden child! we were all born on feb 23rd (and i still need to get into both of these groups lol)

in terms of a group i stan, the idol with the closest birthday to mine is solar from mamamoo. she’s feb 21! for my ult group (stray kids), jeongin has the closest bday to mine (feb 8).

do i think what wonwoo, dk, and vernon did was racist? yes. do i think they were intentionally racist? tbh i have no idea but i sure hope not. do i think that they are racist, bad people? no i personally don’t think so, especially with the good things they have said and done in the past. are their careers going to be negatively affected in the long run by people speaking up about their actions? l m a o absolutely not.

being a good person and not being a racist does not mean you are immune to saying or doing racist things. this applies to everyone, including you, me, and everyone around us, so it’s important that we actively choose to do better every opportunity with which we are provided.

what’s crucial right now is that we understand that holding someone accountable and criticizing them is not the same as attacking someone or destroying their career. 

if you are personally offended by people wanting to raise awareness about the abhorrent racism of that song and wanting the artists they love not to emulate and mirror those violent ideologies (and don’t you dare come to me saying that it’s just a fun, joking song when it very clearly has real life consequences for south asians), then i highly suggest you take a step back and re-evaluate your values and stop attaching your self worth and sense of identity to the idols you follow.
