I believe we can find a lot of the seeds of this juvenile, media illiterate fixation on purity and "goodness" in the early voltron fandom. There is a reason why despite decades of fan wars and fandom wank in every fandom, only voltron's toxicity still persists. Why the vld fandom kids were so incredibly easy to convert into little heathens that still to this day, as grown ass adults, with voting rights still harass real world people over some cartoon bullshit and rewrite history with bold faced lies. We've always had terrible fan wars and moral policing in fandoms but usually what counted as annoying haters that couldn't stay in their lane would grow out of that mindset and realize how embarrassing that obsessive need to police fandoms was. The only people who were organizing mass policing raids and harassing real life people were the creepy religious conservative losers that would threaten to have your entire account deleted or out you for reading and writing gay porn. Now you have self righteous so-called adults who think they are protecting children by censoring fiction and harassing real world victims over fictional ships and head canons.

Raimi spidey fans can't even praise Tobey's portrayal without insulting his appearance. Claiming Tobey Fucking Maguire isn't hot is actual insanity.

Last time I went to the bookstore I bought a bunch of books, mostly classics because I missed them but I also wanted a romance. But as always I was just getting more and more confused because all the covers looked like they were for kids and I just randomly grabbed the first book that actually appealed to me a bit because of the classy dark cover art and the synopsis seemed interesting.

Problematic age gap, problematic height gap problematic power gap, problematic dick size gap.
