Fires broke out across Hawkins as Steve stared on in horror. They had made it to the ridge, and he could see emergency pyres starting to light along the wall. All you could hear were screams and the twang of weapons as muffled orders were shouted down the line.
âTheyâre not going to get there in timeâŚâ Robin said in horror, standing beside Steve as they both looked at their home. She was right. Protocol indicated that all personnel would be at the gate where the Red Saints were, and only a small crew would be at the other entrances. The whole point of a wall was to ring the alarm, not to take on a swarm of infected who came out of nowhere. None of them had ever seen demo-bats either, theyâd never had enemies that could just fly over the wallâHawkins was totally unprepared.
âWe have to get in thereâŚâ Steve said, in a daze, as his feet started moving toward the town.
âWe need a plan, Steve!â Nancy yelled, following after him anyway.
Steve wasnât thinking about a plan. All he was thinking about were all those people locked inside the walls with nothing to protect themselves with. The kids, Robinâs mom, Nancyâs family, Hopper, Joyce, Dustinâyou werenât allowed weapons inside the walls.

Welcome to the apocalypse. The demo-infection has taken hold of the world, and humans are a rare thing these days. Still, people hang on to civilization in pockets across North America and beyond. Hawkins is one such place.Â
Steve Harrington is a scout who runs missions for Hawkins, and on one of those missions, he becomes separated from his scouting partner, Robin. He has to find his way across Indianapolis in an infected world, meeting one very important individual on the way, Eddie. The two of them must trust one another in order to journey across Indiana, while perhaps finding something softer to nurture with one another along the way.
The journey is full of romance, death, action, and suspense. This is a "The Last of Us" alternate universe. This work is 100% completed, and I will be posting each chapter between now and April 7. Prepare yourself for approximately 52k of action, horror, romance, supernatural happenings, and love.

âYou sure about going in those shoes, dude?â Eddie leans in closer, peering at the pristine white sneakers Harringtonâs wearing. The plastic hair remains eerily still even as Harrington snaps his head Eddieâs way, eyebrows going up before he frowns.
âIt was a last-minute decision,â he bites back and thatâs all Eddie needs to confirm his theory.
âThe shoes or the search?â Eddie is maybe â probably - being an asshole but heâs not going to praise the guy for having enough decency to show up and help with the search when itâs so painfully obvious it wasnât of his own volition.

Until Summer of 1985, that is, when what was supposed to be mind-numbingly boring two months of slinging ice cream promptly turns into a task of decoding a secret Russian message with his two closest friends and a strange kid that never shuts up.

And as he sits there, all alone, music blasting from the tape - His tape - Eddie lets himself cry. Those words don't belong to the original author anymore, they belong to Him - they are a ghost of a touch, a ray of warmth that tastes like honey and smells like smoke, a promise that fell through the cracks.
I have a lot of thoughts on How to Train your Dragon Steddie and Iâm currently at home sick, so why not write them out. I am not a writer so this isn't very put together but have it anyway.
Hawkins is a little Viking fishers town, constantly being plagued by dragons. Eddie is the nephew of the local blacksmith and spends most of his time in the workshop, helping out Wayne with making weapons and being his delivery boy. He is the local outcast and not at all a fighter, which doesnât help his popularity. Steve, however, is the local hero alongside his merry band of kids. He is one of the best fighters in Hawkins and always the first one to jump headfirst into danger to save a life. I also like the idea of Steve being the chiefâs (Hopper) adoptive son, meaning he is pretty important on all fronts.
Eddie is a little bit obsessed with him, spending a lot of time just watching Steve on the battlefield while heâs supposed to be helping Wayne. He canât help it. Despite the fact that Steve was an asshole while his biological parents were still hanging around in Hawkins and when he spent his time with bullies such as Tommy H., Eddie has always had feelings lingering around. It only got stronger once word got out that Steve was one of the people who saved Will Byers, a kid unlucky enough to be kidnapped by a dragon while he was out in the woods. Steve turned around, dumping his old friends and instead is now constantly seen with the likes of Robin Buckley, Jonathan Byers and the whole group of kids who have imprinted on him. Eddie is pretty sure that none of them actually know who he is, despite Hawkins being a tiny town but he is content with just watching on the sidelines.
That is, until he canât help but feel the need to prove a point. So what if he also wants to shoot down a dragon just once in his life? Maybe then Steve will also think he is cool, which is a stupid thought because Eddie shouldnât care what others think of him. So one night, during yet another dragon attack, Eddie manages to shoot down a Night Fury but in the process, lures another dragon into Hawkins. He is nearly killed, but Hopper saves him just before he could get fried. However, it does cause yet another public humiliation for him because chief Hopper tells him to get his act together. Eddie then storms off, barely hearing uncle Wayne jump to his defense. He also feels Steve and his friends stare at him but he tries very hard to ignore that because he doesnât need their pity.
The next day, he goes out to find the dragon and after almost being killed, he manages to befriend the dragon. He calls it Ozzy and grows very close to the dragon. However, chief Hopper decided that Eddie needs to go to dragon fighting class, meaning Eddie has no other choice but the fight. He isnât good at all and it doesnât help that he now has Steve around all the time, who is even better than he initially thought. Steve is also very nice to him and never belittles him when things go wrong, even when the kids do. Which is also just another sour point, the fact that a bunch of kids are better at this then Eddie is. Steve doesnât seem to mind. In fact, Eddie can almost swear that Steve is happy he is around for reasons that Eddie doesnât understand.
Steve is the one to notice something is different about him and sneaks after Eddie one day, only to find the dragon. At first, Steve is trying to protect Eddie from Ozzy but after some back and forth, Steve is in on the secret and swears not to tell anyone. It all comes out to the rest of the village after Eddie has to undergo the final part of his training, which is to kill a dragon in front of everyone. Ozzy, however, jumps out of the sky to protect Eddie from the other dragon and reveals himself to the rest of Hawkins. Eddie now even more ostracized, but Steve stays by his side. Alongside his own friends and the kids, much to Eddieâs surprise.
In the end, Eddie saves the town from a massive dragon and gains himself a cool boyfriend in the process.
I also like the idea of Steve crushing just as hard and being teased about it by the kids and Robin, only for Eddie to be so sucked up in his own world that he doesnât notice it.
I suck at writing, so this will definitely result in a bunch of doodles I think
