If you’re a fan of (1) short films, (2) crowd fundraising, (3) being generous, and/or (4) queering the norm, I highly encourage you to check out the Kickstarter for a senior thesis film project called “Nom de Plume.” The director, John Serafica, is an undergrad at San Francisco State University and is trying to raise $4500 to pay for renting locations, camera equipment, set design materials, compensating actors, being awesome at filmmaking, etc.
The script is about a married woman haunted by a choice and addresses feelings of regret, longing, identity, and sexual repression. The crew is a super talented bunch of people from all over the spectrum and the world.
