"You're getting slower." 

At your remark, BOOTHILL let out a sharp, insulted huff. He turned to face you, eyes wide with disbelief, watching as you lazily stretched your arms above your head. He truly wondered where you sourced such audacity; it certainly wasn't from the battlefield.

"Slower? Slower?! I beat them muddle fudgers in record speed! If it weren't for my quick reflexes we would've been memories by now!" He defended, sliding his revolver back into it's holster. He was too busy nursing his wounded pride to notice the smirk forming on your lips.

"Keep telling yourself that, cowboy. Denial is always the first stage."

You knelt beside the first fallen form, your hands moving with clinical efficiency. You patted down jackets, rifled through pockets, and even checked the lining of boots. This process was repeated a few more times until every body was inspected. 

Standing back up, you offered a shake of your head toward BOOTHILL, who was currently leaning against a nearby pillar, still muttering (censored) curses under his breath. 

"Not here," You sighed. BOOTHILL tilted his head. "Yer sighing like there ain't a hundred more pesky people here to knock out 'nd pat down." 

Pushing himself off the pillar, he bridged the gap between you and delivered a playful — yet still gentle so as to not hurt you — flick to your forehead. You swatted his hand away instantly, shooting him a mock-annoyed glare.

"Lighten up, sweet cheeks. I've never failed a mission."

"Which is still a very surprising fact."

"Hey! Show some respect! I'll have you know- wait- where are you going?!" 

You had already begun to walk off, leaving his indignation hanging in the air. A soft breath of a laugh escaped you as he rushed to follow.

Missions with the Galaxy Ranger were many things, but they were never, ever boring.

⭑ When the both of you first crossed paths, ARGENTI truly did assume you were a knight of beauty. Your behavior, your speech, your diligence — it was hard to not assume you were one. So you can imagine his surprised when he found out you were but a simple servant striving to become a knight.

⭑ Following him around became the usually, and ARGENTI didn't seem to mind as you both seemingly shared the same goals to some degree. Plus, he found himself enjoying your presence. He never realized how lonely he felt deep down despite it being known Knights of Beauty traveled the cosmos alone.

⭑ Your work ethic startles him. He likes to think he's diligent enough, but by the aeons are you diligent. Not only that, it felt like you were a mind reader. Before he could even utter your name, you were there tending to his every whim and then some. You complete tasks perfectly in seemingly record speed, and always seem to make time for anyone else who needs your help.

⭑ It's not rare for ARGENTI to wake up to you cleaning his spear, breakfast hot nearby and his armor polished so brightly it practically produced its own light. He's always thankful, there's no doubt about that, but he does begin to worry when he notices that he's never seen you rest. You're always busy. From doing laundry to tending to One and Only — which, while ARGENTI is thankful for that because it was always such a chore — you're never sitting down.

⭑ While it is a knight's duty to protect, what good is a knight if they cannot protect their body and mind? And so, ARGENTI begins to basically force you to rest. If nothing else, menial tasks will do. It gets to a point where he tries to finish everything himself so when you wake up, there is minimal tasks.

⭑ ARGENTI does his best to answer any inquiries you have about knighthood, but in his eyes there's not much he can say since you already possess so many qualities of a knight. Still, he tries his best to answer everything as satisfactory as possible.

⭑ Your strength will never not momentarily confuse him. Despite your unassuming stature, you lift things that would require basically a full team of five without breaking a sweat and carry a claymore so heavy even ARGENTI felt a bit winded after lifting it for some time. He never underestimated you, but he does feel a tad bit unsettled knowing you could basically carry him like a feather.

⭑ Your kindness and pacifist qualities are ones he cherishes a lot, and he truly hopes that they will never die out. In this day and age, it's hard to remain so 'pure'. However, despite you being a pacifist, ARGENTI knows you can handle yourself, so he doesn't worry too much should there ensue a battle.

⭑ In ARGENTI's eyes, you're a true knight of beauty no matter what anyone says. He hopes you will come to see that, too. But until that day comes, he will happily mentor you and praise you endlessly.

"Thank you for the opportunity to accompany you on your adventures, it's taught me a lot and I believe I have improved a lot. As a maid, I should be the one serving you, but it seems you have done more for me than I could ever imagine..."

⭑ Joining the express, SUNDAY had many plans on how to best integrate into the crew and be useful. Determined to learn the ins and outs, he was prepared to do it all. He even asked the Trailblazer for some advice and tips.

⭑ However, he hadn't accounted for the fact the express had a servant. A very, very diligent servant who everyone seemed to not mind breathing down their necks waiting for orders. Meeting you gave SUNDAY a bit of whiplash. So kind and demure, but knowing every little detail about his life.

⭑ SUNDAY can't say he isn't unsettled, but he does his best to shake it off and try to exist peacefully. It honestly becomes a bit of a battle between you both who can be the most diligent and helpful, but most of the time you win. It's not that he's trying to take your job or anything, never ever! He just doesn't want to be dead weight.

⭑ If SUNDAY ever thought he used to overwork himself back as the head of the oak family, then he can't even begin to describe you. From washing laundry to cleaning the express to making himeko coffee to helping march pick an outfit — SUNDAY honestly begins to feel sorry for you. Was there ever a moment of rest for you?

⭑ When it comes to serving him, however, you hit a bit of a wall. SUNDAY has everything under control. He doesn't need his room cleaned or his laundry done or even a schedule. SUNDAY is the only person on the express you can't really... help. Other than bringing him tea/a cocktail and pastries, there's nothing you can really do.

⭑ He makes an effort to try and get you to relax. He's very good at manipulation as much as he now doesn't really like to admit it, so he's always able to figure out something to get you to sit down for at least a few minutes. He also invites you to have tea time with him or enjoy a drink in the express' bar.

⭑ Really appreciates your strength! He never questioned it, seeing as everyone on the express was strong in their own way, plus you had that huge claymore as a weapon. If he ever needs help with lifting anything, he'll go to you first.

⭑ SUNDAY is closest to you on the express. Your loyalty to secrecy is something very valuable to him, and it reassures him knowing that what he tells you will always remain between you and him. Because of this, he's more open to sharing his feelings and thoughts with you. You're a very good listener.

⭑ Despite you claiming you're nothing but a servant for the express, he sees you as much more than that. In his eyes, you're definitely the backbone; who knows how the express would get by without your assistance...

"You seem tired. Would you like some tea? I'll brew you some. Do you take sugar? One cube, or two?"

"Two is fine... Thank you."

⭑ Though DAN HENG would never admit it, you were definitely his favorite on the express. Your diligence and loyalty were qualities held in the highest regard, and knowing he could rely on you for anything gave him peace of mind. While he was off dealing with the trailblazer and march, he knew you would make sure the express was safe and tended to.

⭑ March enjoyed calling you a mini-dan heng, and while DAN HENG would stare at her unamused, he didn't mind the comparison too much. If you were ever uncomfortable with the term, however, he'd tell her to please stop. But if not, he wouldn't really shut it down.

⭑ DAN HENG is more than willing to mentor you if you wish, and if he's ever free while you're training, he'll use that free time to watch you. He will both criticize and praise, but he won't criticize too much when it comes to how you handle your claymore as that kind of weapon isn't in his field of expertise.

⭑ Knowing how you enjoy keeping busy but also knowing how you also overwork yourself, DAN HENG finds a compromise. Sorting through data isn't too bothersome since almost everything is neat, anyways, so while it is a task, it's a low-effort one that doesn't involve your poor body being pushed to it's limits.

⭑ DAN HENG is also another one who doesn't require too much assistance personally. Since he basically lives in the archives, his room is untouched for the most part so there's not much to clean. His laundry is done with everyone else's, and he's not picky to have you make him his own special dish during meals. He only asks of you to help with the archives.

⭑ Your kindness and desire to help, while cherished, are qualities DAN HENG worries about. Many people can take advantage of you, which is why he prefers you stick close to him during missions you're present in. He would never outright order you to not help anyone, he's not that kind of person, but he'd tell you to be careful and mindful.

⭑ Your unassuming stature, paired with your impressive strength, will always amuse DAN HENG internally during missions. The surprise on the faces of people, or occasionally dread, always make him giggle internally, even if it's a serious moment.

⭑ Appreciates when you tend to his spear. It's gone through absolute hell and back with him throwing it around. You sharpen it, polish it, and make sure it's well cared for better than he does.

⭑ Much like sunday, DAN HENG sees you as the express' backbone. If nothing else, you are definitely the backbone for the archives.

"Good morning! Breakfast is served. I will be on hand the whole time. Should you find that anything is not to your taste, please, do not hesitate to let me know."

"This is perfect, thank you. You should sit and enjoy breakfast, too."

⭑ The IPC had many servants, but among them one stood out - the servant of all servants. Assigned to AVENTURINE, he found you to be... a bit pitiful. Nothing against you, truly, but to dream of one day becoming a stoneheart? How naive. Still, your hard work was admirable.

⭑ Truth be told, however, AVENTURINE didn't mind such a dream coming from you, because it just meant you'd ask him about what it's like and observe him more, spending more time with him. It was endearing, especially since AVENTURINE had grown to care for you.

⭑ Your diligence was the reason AVENTURINE could clock into work knowing the day would be less miserable than usual. Everything in his office would be neatly sorted, floors sparkly clean, air fresh, and snacks prepared. He enjoyed the comfort.

⭑ That, however, doesn't mean he'll let you work yourself to death. He'll find you meager tasks to complete, or play a round of card games with you, maybe even gamble. No serious bets, though. All for fun, and to keep you from breaking your back heaving things from one place to another.

⭑ Speaking of which, AVENTURINE's impressed with your strength. While you were by no means someone to be underestimated, it wasn't uncommon for people to think of you as a sweet thing who couldn't do anything but clean and be an errand runner. AVENTURINE will always chuckle at the sight of people witnessing your strength for the first time. Still, sometimes he wonders if you were a servant or a bodyguard with that strength...

⭑ In the IPC, anyone and everyone took the chance to toss their workload onto someone else, that being because if anything went wrong, they could blame the other. AVENTURINE knew people were no doubt doing this to you, even if you never messed up. While he doesn't necessarily isolate you, he does try to limit the workers you interact with unless it's people he knows won't take advantage of you.

⭑ When he heard of your struggle with finding a material for your claymore that wouldn't dent or break, he used his connections to find a weaponsmith who could deliver. Your bright smile and grateful thanks were the perfect repayment, he didn't need anything else.

⭑ Your secrecy is key to surviving the IPC. Anyone trying to get anything out of you regarding AVENTURINE or confidential things in general is just wasting their time. He knows this, which is why he isn't afraid of having you close enough to read files or tell you important things — you'll remember, he might forget.

⭑ You soon enough become known as AVENTURINE's aide, and very few, if any, have the gall to come up and mess with you. AVENTURINE wants it to stay that way.

"I am devoted to what I do, but make no mistake — I devote myself freely. A servant, to me, is the most liberating job there is. I'm a chef, a gardener, a warrior, a guide... I can be anything you need me to be!"

"What I need you to be is my opponent in poker — a quick game won't hurt."

⭑ Sometimes it felt like you were the cloud knights' general than the general himself. JING YUAN found that if there was one person he could entrust to take his spot for a day or two, it would definitely be you. Diligent, helpful, secretive when needed be, competent, and kind, you were basically a role model for many.

⭑ What was once a messy office, JING YUAN now finds when he wakes from his naps a room so neat he felt like an intruder. Files sorted by importance, older papers tucked away, ink neatly refilled, brushes cleaned, shelves dusted. They do say a clean space improves productivity, after all.

⭑ He's seen you train before, swinging your claymore as if it weighed no more than the usual polearms and swords other cloud knights used. You reminded him of yanqing - both incredibly strong yet hidden behind figures that would tell otherwise. He makes sure you have a good mentor, and if you ever wish for him to mentor you personally, he'll do his best to free up some time for you.

⭑ While JING YUAN cherishes your kindness and helpfulness, he worries you might one day drop dead from exhaustion you refuse to show. Ever since you went on that rescue mission alone and returned with a fever that had you bed-bound for three days, he's made sure to keep a good eye on you.

⭑ He keeps you by his side, and if you ever try to run off to find anything to do, he'll suddenly 'remember' something he needed you to do - play some starchess with him. You're always confused by his requests, but you nevertheless do as told for that is what a servant should do. It's also a good excuse for JING YUAN to take a break, too.

⭑ Since you wish to be a cloud knight, you ask every knight no matter their rank their routines and how to improve yourself. JING YUAN, most of the time, will be the one to answer, since he always keeps you around him. He finds your eagerness endearing, and he enjoys being the source of your joy.

⭑ Your pacifist nature is something JING YUAN doesn't find in many knights, and it's a bit confusing seeing as you wish to be a cloud knight, but JING YUAN has always appreciated a more peaceful outlook on life, so he'll never comment about it. To each their own.

⭑ JING YUAN worries whenever he hears you've wandered off to fight some mara struck. He knows you can handle yourself, but he still worries nonetheless. He'd much prefer you had help with you and not go in alone...

⭑ JING YUAN has definitely made plans to make you a proper knight, the only question is when to have your knighting.

"Everyone on the Luofu is saying that I'm much more reliable now. Some even say that I'm to be made a true knight soon, but I don't think... What!? You think so too!? Oooohh, thank you! Coming from you, that is the best compliment I could ever hope for!

⭑ To AVENTURINE, you were just the cutest little thing. A menace, sure, but no less cute. Perhaps it was your cuteness that got you away with things most of the time; that was surely the case with AVENTURINE.

⭑ It's not uncommon for people of the IPC to find the stoneheart cleaning up one of your explosive messes, and in fact it's so common they've started betting how many times AVENTURINE would come up with an excuse for your mishaps.

⭑ Bomb-making is a very dangerous art, so AVENTURINE will get worried despite how he claims to everyone that you know what you're doing so he trusts you. it's not that he doubts you, aeons no - it's just your luck could one day run out. so, AVENTURINE has someone supervising you whenever he himself can't.

⭑ By all means, do as you please. As long as you don't explode or burn down something he can't fix with a few favors and sweet talking, AVENTURINE doesn't care what you obliterate.

⭑ He would definitely prefer if you stay away from his workspace, however. He won't explicitly demand you stay away, but you're smart enough to pick up on that and keep your distance as best as possible. The last thing you'd want to do is pile onto his seemingly eternal list of pains.

⭑ AVENTURINE will usually do his best to keep you away from conflicts, part due to knowing you dislike hearing people argue, and part because he doesn't want anyone to for some reason drag you into the conflict.

⭑ He appreciates that you at least follow the rule of not killing anyone with your bombs - the last thing he'd ever want is finding your face on a wanted poster or something. Be a bomber as you please, but be an ethical one at least. (is that even possible??)

⭑ AVENTURINE does his best to spend time with you when he's not busy on missions, and if possible, will bring you on said missions if he knows you won't kill or be killed.

⭑ He wouldn't necessarily partake in helping you make bombs, but he'd make sure you have the materials you desire and safe testing grounds. And if you're not hard of hearing/deaf, he'd make sure you have headphones! You might not be bothered by the noise, but AVENTURINE would prefer you still being able to hear..

"I'm really good at fixing things though. I can help! Huh? What do you mean that's child labor? What even is child labor? Does that mean I can't help?"

"It means that you can go and play with dodoco while I finish up here, yeah?"

⭑ As the head of the oak family and a normal sensible person, SUNDAY couldn't have you bombing everything in sight. as much as he cherished and loved you, disturbing the guests of penacony was the last thing he needed on his plate. because of this, it wasn't rare for you to be sent to solitary confinement if you were ever caught.

⭑ Unfortunately for him, you never seemed to learn your lesson. unfortunately for you, SUNDAY always has a solution. solitary confinement grew longer and longer, until you honestly became scared to get caught. You eventually reached a point where you'd go to the end of the dreamscape just to have your fun, as you couldn't in both the real world and the mainland of the dreamscape.

⭑ There were also heavy restrictions on your bomb-making, and you were always heavily supervised. while it always put you a bit on edge, SUNDAY was simply doing it out of worry for you. Just the thought of you getting a single scratch made his tummy hurt.

⭑ Due to SUNDAY being the head of the oak family and having his grand scheme of things, he couldn't spend much time with you, not that you minded. you still loved him all the same, and whenever he did have time, you cherished it deeply, as did he. Still, you did feel lonely sometimes...

⭑ SUNDAY is so good at keeping you out of conflict that you never even realize what had been going on in Penacony. To you, everything was basically sunshine and rainbows with a sprinkle of solitary confinement. You were as oblivious as anyone else, and SUNDAY had intended to keep it that way. (Spoiler Alert: it didn't work.)

⭑ It's only after he joins the express that he really is able to spend more time with you. He of course brought you with him, no way he'd leave you alone in Penacony, and fortunately the express didn't mind. The more the merrier, right?

⭑ While he does become a bit more lenient with your explosive hobbies, he still does have some restrictions, which is fortunately reinforced by Welt and Himeko's help. However, you find you're not as upset as one might think, since SUNDAY began to watch you make your bombs as bonding time.

⭑ Very strict when it comes to the 'survival rules' and nothing can change that. Yes, he's grown more lenient, but those rules are the one thing he'll never grow soft about; fortunately, you follow them to a T.

⭑ Where SUNDAY goes, you follow him, and where you go, SUNDAY follows you. The express can never separate you, and honestly? They wouldn't ever dream of it. You both keep each other in line somehow. And because somehow SUNDAY has yet to get hearing loss.

"Thanks for helping me gather so much stuff for my research! If you ever wanna learn how to make a bomb, I can teach you y'know."

"I think I'll leave that to you..."

⭑ Much like aventurine, ROBIN thought you were just the cutest little thing. So bright and lively and energetic — what an absolute sweetheart you are! To anyone else, you both were probably the sweetest duo in all the cosmos.

⭑ You travel with her for her shows, always so excited to see new planets and to hear her sing her new songs. She enjoys using her off days during these trips to spend time with you and have fun, but days for relaxation also aren't uncommon. Either way, she spends lots of time with you, even in the studio.

⭑ To be honest, it wouldn't be surprising if ROBIN used your explosive hobbies to 'get rid of' bothersome paparazzi. Sometimes she just needs some peace and quiet, and you need an outlet, so it's a win win for the both of you, right? Just make sure nobody sees your face.

⭑ Despite this, she will of course still worry about your safety (and your hearing if you're not already deaf or hard of hearing). ROBIN does have security most of the time, so she'll make sure to assign some people to watch over you while she's working.

⭑ Very active in participating in your hobbies! She'll watch you work and learn from you, even partaking in the creation of some bombs, though hers are much much smaller and less destructive. Still, you light up whenever she asks if she can join you, and she wants to keep that smile on your for as long as she possibly can.

⭑ ROBIN isn't one for solitary confinement, so it's very rare. Most of the time, if you do something really bad, she'll sit with you and you both reevaluate together. Usually you learn your lesson. Maybe. Probably.

⭑ Much like ROBIN, you aren't one for conflict or arguments. The both of you tend to steer away from it whenever possible, but if you do get dragged in, ROBIN does her best to keep you out of it. She'd much rather you stay oblivious to whatever it is that she's distancing you from.

⭑ ROBIN also tries to get you out of the spotlight. It's not that she's ashamed of you or wants to hog it all for herself, but more so she doesn't want so many eyes on you. Wether you're a child or a teen or an adult or whatever age you wish to be, paparazzi is unforgiving all the same, and ROBIN doesn't want that kind of pressure on you.

⭑ Like her brother, she's very strict with the survival rules, and you follow them strictly because seeing her disappointed hurts more than solitary confinement ever could. And plus, you have no intention ever harming someone with your bombs, anyways.

"Good morning! Can I come play with you today? Pleeeease? I wanna go on an adventure!"

"Alright, let's both just get ready for a day and then we can go wherever you'd like!"

⭑ Really? You? A little kid? You’re the newest addition to the genius society? VERITAS feels like he’s being mocked by Nous at this point. Well, whatever. Not like he was going to interact with you or anything. He has no reason to do so.

⭑ You spot him walking outside your space and, assuming he was the one supposed to get you your lunch, yell out at him annoyance. He ignores you until you call him the purple haired one and then he realizes you’re talking to him.

⭑ You don’t even care that he’s not the one who was supposed to bring you your lunch as you boss him around, looking up at him as he gives you a flabbergasted and almost offended expression.

⭑ He tries to scold you but you just try your best to push him out of your space so he can get you your lunch. He goes eventually just to get it over with but he dislikes you now.

⭑ But it’s not like he can completely despise you, because you’re actually tolerable when you’re not bossing him — or anyone, really — around. You can hold up a pretty good and deep conversation for a child of your age and you’re willing to listen to others’ views (well, unless it’s about your personality.)

⭑ Soon enough, VERITAS actually finds himself warming up to you and vice versa. You’re a good kid. Bossy, sure, but he tries to blame it on you being a kid and not having anyone to properly guide you since you’re always busy with research. You’re influenced by those around you — it rare to find a researcher that actually cares about anything other than their research.

⭑ You both refuse to acknowledge it properly, but you both accept that maybe you both enjoy each others’ company.

⭑ VERITAS will help you out with your research, be it inventing something mechanical or creating something organic. If not physically helping you out, then supervising you and giving you ideas or suggestions.

⭑ Some of the researchers dread it when VERITAS comes to the space station because you both are insufferable together, especially when your goals align and suddenly there’s a silent agreement to help each other achieve that goal.

⭑ But at the end of the day, you’re a child. Which why whenever you act childish and immature, huffy or happy, VERITAS will do his best to be there for you. You’re young, and you didn’t have any support system before him.

⭑ He’ll try to be understanding — it’s hard for him since he’s used to being so focused on spreading knowledge and he has made people cry before without much comfort. But he’ll try, especially because you tend to seek him out for comfort. You trust him to comfort you and he’ll do his best to not disappoint.

⭑ He knows some kids burnout after time, and he doesn’t want that to happen to you, so he’ll make sure you don’t overdo it with your studies and research, as well as make sure you’re in a healthier environment. He’ll make sure that the researchers don’t put pressure on you — most of them are too busy shoving their noses in their own research however some of the researchers at the space station can be less than pleasant.

⭑ If you ever want to leave the station, VERITAS is more than willing and happy to take you with him. It’s a nice opportunity to expand your research and perhaps invest in another field. Also because it’ll give him the chance to take you out to some nice places and if you’re extra young, then maybe some fun play places and specific parks.

⭑ VERITAS wouldn’t mind having you give special lectures to his students if you ever told him you want to do so. He’ll stand to the side as you teach, getting you a stool for you to be able to write on the chalkboard.

⭑ You were taken in by JING YUAN as an assistant. Found to be the only person alive under the wretched slave-master’s roof, JING YUAN decided to take you in as you proved to fight well — or at least, that’s what the cloud nights had told him.

⭑ Still, fighting ability or not, JING YUAN won’t make you an official member of the cloud knights until much much later.

⭑ You came to him, neatly dressed and cleaned up. Your eyes were wide and almost lifeless and you didn’t even greet him, staring at him like he wasn’t even there. JING YUAN felt a bit unsettled but not offended.

⭑ You didn’t talk or do anything outside of his commands. You delivered messages, orders, and papers. While JING YUAN appreciates your diligence, he does worry for your physical and mental health. You don’t show any signs of exhaustion so it’s hard to know when you need rest or not.

⭑ He, of course, tried at first to interact with you, however you didn’t response much and you were practically mute so he decided to just let you be. He ended up picking up on your physical behaviors and body languages anyways.

⭑ JING YUAN talks and you just look at him and he nods and continues. People are confused on how he understands you when you don’t even say anything however he never says anything because he finds it amusing.
