vassarazorclaw:
“The goal is saving my siblings. Because I’m arrogant to the core Livvy.” Vassa laughed hollowly. “They probably don’t need saving. And maybe my clan is happy as they are. I was happy too, you know. But I make up problems with how things are and rush to fix them. Slay a dragon, because I’m still angry about it and I think they all could do better, live better.”
“Barter with a god for souls that wouldn’t know the difference probably. But they deserve better, and if I can’t barter with a god for a proper afterlife for my brothers and sisters, then I’m going to make one Livvy.”Â
“But you didn’t really make up a problem? Your dragon is objectively doing a bad thing for the clan - does he actually even protect you?” Wasn’t that why kobolds had dragon masters?Â
“I wasn’t dead long enough to actually know what happens when you die, but I can’t imagine not having an afterlife would be pleasant. I think your siblings would appreciate it.” She paused. “But...but why not...it’d be expensive, yeah, but why not try to bring them back?” They died so young, too...it was terrible. “I don’t know much about resurrection magic, so maybe it’s too late...” Her wings sank and she let her feet touch the ground. Â
