Liv was floored by the sudden change of the boy standing in front of her. Had he honestly just become vulnerable after they’d both been equally venomous? She wasn’t sure what to do, teetering on her feet a moment and wondering if she should try any semblance of consoling. The truth of the matter was, she knew a little of what this felt like.
