Well Well Well…

Hello! I’ve been talking and meeting more and more people lately so I think a proper introduction is due.

My name is Liv. I’ve semi recently graduated with a bachelor’s in Psych and a lot of stupid pre-med course work which I don’t think I’m going to use. 😮‍💨 iykyk. I’ve been spending my time lately traveling, job hunting, trying to reconnect with my hobbies, and posting on here. 😻

I love video games, namely Zelda and Minecraft. Lately I’ve really been enjoying the Linked Universe fandom. I’m also a huge nerd for anime and manga. My all time favorite anime is Tsuritama and I’m currently reading Witch Hat Atelier.

I’ve been trying to get back into touch with drawing and creative writing, two arts that I feel like I fell out of touch with while I was studying for the past 4-5ish years. Maybe I’ll post some of my things but my confidence in how good they look isn’t at its peak so maybe later 😖

My most genuine hobby is… yapping. I love love love talking with the lovely people of this website about anything and everything. If you ever want a conversation, I’m your guy!

I really like the omegaverse as a concept. I think it’s a really fun exploration of gender norms and then gender in culture. I also love seeing how people portray it on a biological level and the type of canon individual writers create.

But anyways, obviously I’m getting to who I think is what type, alpha beta omega and well

I think they would ALL be omegas.

This is largely due to the fact that Link was originally created with the idea that he could be perceived as masculine or feminine before Nintendo decided he would be male. Every Link has distinctly gender neutral traits. In general, I think this kinda aligns well with male omegas.

I also like this idea because I think the way each Link would handle their second gender would be really different from one another. Each era might treat omegas differently as well and might have different societal norms.

For instance:

I think Sky and Four would generally be pretty at peace with being an Omega. Sky was maybe picked on a bit and pushed around by his classmates and it sucked but in general anyone can become a knight in his era and he more than proved himself and gained respect in different ways. I feel like for him his second gender might not be a huge deal.

And as for Four I feel like he might’ve grown up idolizing Alphas and when he presented as an Omega after Minish Cap he was pretty disappointed but after Four Swords he has a lot more self confidence and a much better understanding of himself.

As for Wind he’s probably still going through his puberty era and regardless of how he feels about presenting as an omega, he has a lot of good role models being the rest of the chain, maybe his grandmother, and maybe Tetra. Pirates don’t care what you are. They care who you are. Something like that.

Then I think would be Legend, who grew up really hating being an Omega but at some point as part in his journey comes to really accept it. I think he would really get a kick out of using the “helpless omega” bit to his advantage. Eventually he grows past just seeing his second gender as something that’s either or tool or handicap and as something that is just him. It would take him some time to get there though. I think his time on Koholint or in Lorule would help a lot.

I think it would be a similar thing for Twilight but while he does come to accept himself he looks stereotypically alpha and kind of leans into people assuming that. It makes life easier for him.

Wars also looks stereotypically Alpha but that’s on purpose. I think it would be interesting if he put on a front, pretending to be an alpha because he’s the leader of a large army and soldiers follow an alpha leader much more easily than an omega one. This leads to some shame and resentment towards his gender.

Hyrule also hides his second gender but he mostly just tries to disguise himself as a beta. This is a safety thing more than anything else. He lives in an era where it’s dangerous to let people have any perceived weakness about you.

As for Time and Wild, I don’t think they have strong perceptions of second genders at all. The kokiris don’t have second genders and Wild doesn’t remember what it was like to have a second gender or any of the societal norms expected of him.

Time also looks stereotypically alpha but he just doesn’t really care. When he suddenly woke up in a 16 year old body it was really traumatic to have gone through puberty all within moments to him. Now as an adult he kind of prefers just to neglect the idea that he’s any sort of thing and just tries to do himself.

Wild is similar but in a way that his body is the only thing that he knows and he’s not letting what other people expect of him to get in his way. Being an omega means very little to him.

When the chain all gets together I don’t think they realize that they’re all omegas at first. I think it would take a little while and when they do all realize it causes a little bit of strife and drama but ultimately they all learn together and they learn to all love what they are more.

Hyrule is racially ambiguous in the way that he is multiracial and has a very diverse ethnic profile

I’ve just started replaying Oracle of Seasons and the beginning is just taking me out 😭

Spoilers if you haven’t played but it starts off with Din, who I believe to maybe be one of the hottest Zelda characters EVER, nursing you back to health

Anyways, so it starts with Legend having the best day ever. He literally wakes up to a party where everyone is drinking and dancing. All these dudes are even telling him like: “oh yeah, that super hot chick totally likes you.”

While she’s like: “come dance with me 😻”

Best day ever.

And so he’s dancing and having a grand time so ofc lightening starts striking everywhere and a freak tornado cuts through and starts tearing up his new friends while they’re screaming-

AND THEN-

The tornado attacks this baddie he’s hanging out with

SO THEN-

He attacks the tornado 😭 but it has hands so it just flings him out of the way while it kidnaps Din while she’s screaming and crying

And I just think it’s really funny bc this all happens in the span of maybe 3 minutes max

Picture with me- after a battle Hyrule is severely concussed and just not feeling himself. He’s out of magic, can’t heal himself, and everyone else is too low on potions or fairies to spare any so he’s just going to be miserable until they can properly stock up.

Everyone’s kind of keeping an eye on him so it’s a little weird when he picks up Warriors’ wallet but typically Hyrule is the kind of guy to respect boundaries and possessions so nobody really stops him. Until he reaches in a fist, grabs a handful of rupees and shoves them in his mouth and to everyone’s horror *crunches* down on them.

Everyone, but mostly just Wars, desperately tries to get him to stop, 1 to save his teeth and throat, and also bc that’s MONEY. But Hyrule is stubborn and he grabs another handful.

After he eats like, 200s worth of them, he finally stops and to everyone’s shock looks better than when he started.

Or you're a dog and I'm your man

You believe me like a god

I'll destroy you like I am”

I’m imagining them living in an alley way like raccoons or stray cats bc they can’t figure out how to do taxes or any of the stuff Jinu was doing.

Sorry if this doesn’t make any sense 😭 I’m a little buzzed and every atom of me just wants to think about Zelda. So-

This is less of an au or actually headcanon but more just a stream of thought but what if Hylia were the cause of the events behind LU?

She was so inspired by the very first hero that she took his very soul and reforged it to keep her beloved Hyrule safe. She did this again and again and again, over eons.

Eventually she realizes that her precious hero is always a tortured soul. Even when their lives don’t end in tragedies that have the magnitude to splinter time itself, they often are riddled with trauma or are even chased by their pasts, unable to ever truly find respite.

The hero is incredibly lonely in each life. Even the ones that have strong support systems never have somebody that can genuinely relate to their unique traumas. Even Hylia’s own reincarnations can’t always relate to the hero typically having an entirely different batch of issues. So this time she takes a page out of Demise’s book and crafts a villain so great that it breaks time itself once again.

This villain creates a problem that can only be fixed by a goddess blessed team of fierce warriors. And so she lovingly pulls each of her heroes out of time and then puts them back in as a team.

So together they might find true understanding that they could find no where else and so that they will never genuinely feel lonely again.

Hylia loves her heroes so much but she really doesn’t know how to fix such a intangible problem such as loneliness so she just creates a bigger problem.

An AU where the links essentially meet in game order, so Hyrule, Legend, and Time adventure a bit together before meeting the rest of the chain. BUT.

They also meet the other 90s and 80s Links from the CDi games and tv show respectively and 😭 they do not get along at all.

Tv Link and CDi are SO obnoxious. At all times. Their conjoined wise-cracking often gets them all into trouble, they’re always doing insanely destructive acts while fighting, have a scary tolerance to killing sentient beings, and they genuinely harass women when they enter towns.

So Time, Legend, and Hyrule kind of bond over being like “wtf is wrong with those guys” as a group.

Their journey is at a c r a w l with those two. They don’t pitch in for chores, they use up resources quickly, and they keep everyone up by talking way past bedtime. They’re unreliable at best. Legend, Time, and Hyrule are actually a little bit ashamed of them. They get embarrassed at times to even be seen with them.

So when they both die in a HORRIFIC accident, like I’m talking something heinous happened, the rest of the heroes feel guilty about not feeling more bad about their deaths. They shared the heroes spirit for Hylia’s sake!!! They do feel guilty for not being able to prevent their deaths because… in hindsight it was very preventable. And they died in such horrible ways. They give them as proper burials as they can.

The three left are now a little bit trauma bonded. None of them had ever seen such a gruesome fate. They also unanimously agree to never bring them up again. They all vow never to talk about this incident.

So when they meet new chain members they’re anxious at first but they find the rest of their brothers to be competent and easy to love. People get hurt but there’s never another… incident…

Until one day the portal spits them all out into a new Hyrule that only the og 3 remember. The rest of the chain doesn’t know why they all start to crash out to a ROYAL degree.

I think the fics that make Legend a real mermaid are really funny (in a good way I swear). Before I found any fics with mermaid legend in them I took the mermaid suit at face value. I thought of it as an item so when I found fics where Legend was literally cursed to be (or sometimes just an actual) mermaid I was a little surprised but pleasantly so.

What I think would be funny though is if Legend went like, full pre teen girl mermaid media mode and was always mysterious around water. Like he never goes for a swim, tucking hair behind an ear like: “Water and I… don’t agree…” while the rest of the chain is just: “wtf does that mean Legend”

“Nauuur the condensation!!!”

Wind is immediately onto him but whenever he tries to tell somebody they brush him off: “the imagination of a child…” and poor wind is just like: “he doesn’t wash his hands. (|)_(|)”

But what I would like people to consider is that the mermaid suit is literally what it says. A mermaid swimsuit.

Imagine:

Somebody in the chain, probably Hyrule, is drowning in a dangerous current and everyone is panicking bc nobody can dive in and save him bc the current is too strong and they don’t need two people dying. Legend is like: “I have an item that can help but please look away…”

And so ofc they look away, respecting his privacy. But instead of a majestic transformation they just hear grunting noises and frustrated breathing. And also he’s taking way too long so they turn around and he’s wrestling a bright blue mermaid tail onto his lower legs like: “GET TF ONNNN”

And almost every orphaned fic I come across is a. A genuinely dangerous or way out there kink/fetish that the author definitely doesn’t want their name tied to b. An obviously old work that probably isn’t the best example of the authors skill set or degree in writing and then c. Dream smp fanfics 😔
