▬▬▬☆     Today was meant to be the happiest day of her life. Renata was getting married! It was a wonderful day, the wedding everything that she had ever dreamed. At the reception, Renata made the rounds to everyone who had shown up, welcoming && thanking them for being there. She didn't mind that Bruno wasn't there with her for greetings, she understood that he wasn't much for mingling.

                              As the night progressed, Renata periodically glanced toward her new husband, always sat in the same spot. That just wouldn't do anymore. Excusing herself from the conversation she was having, Renata approached Bruno, a hopeful smile on her face as she asked him for a dance. He hadn't danced all night -- maybe he could give her just one.

                              ❝ I know... I know && I don't mind it at all, my love. Just.. one dance? One dance && then we can leave. Spend the rest of the night together, just us. Everybody else can stay && enjoy the party. Please? ❞

                              She so hoped he would agree.

▬▬▬☆      The prince says nothing  following  Blitzø’s  statement.  It  was  a  difficult  thing  for  him  to  hear.  Falling  in  love  with  the  imp  was... not planned. However, Stolas supposed it was inevitable, considering their history. History that meant more to him than Blitzø, it seemed. Not that it really mattered; he wasn't going to turn this into an argument. That was the very last thing he wanted.

                              The Goetia sighed then, hands settling behind his back, shifting his posture to be more formal. Typically when he was around the imp, he was more casual, less put together the way a Goetia Prince should be. It was something he'd become accustomed to during his time with Blitzø. But perhaps that was the problem. He'd been too comfortable. He let the silence fall between them for a moment longer before he finally broke it, his back turned to the imp. He wouldn't have been able to say his piece if he was looking at him.

                              ❝ Yes well, as unfortunate as it may be -- that is where we are currently. But don't you worry, Blitzy-- Blitz. I'll see to it that you won't need to be burdened by my feelings for much longer. I understand that I have been foolish. I'm looking for a solution. All I ask is a bit of patience. In the meantime, I'll still allow you my grimoire, no strings attached. We don't need to make a night of it, talking or otherwise. Just, bring it to me once per month as we previously agreed. Nothing less, nothing more. ❞

                              Every word out of his mouth was painful, but he had no choice. This was for the best. It was in everybody's best interest if their little arrangement came to an end. He'd been preparing for this for quite awhile. Despite the snag in his plan, he was not one to give up easily. Even if it broke his heart, at the very least, Blitzø could continue his business && be successful; Stolas could eventually move on. At least, that was what he hoped would be the outcome.
