In the last week I have finished some of the most amazing stories of amazing men of their time. Its hard to believe the tales of courage and determination from people with humble roots facing overwhelming obstacles. The Boys in the Boat: the 1936 Olympic gold medal team from Washington University. The Luckiest Man: the life of Lou Gehrig, his amazing baseball career and fight with ALS. and Fighter Pilot: Memoirs of Robin Olds, a WWII Ace and Vietnam vet. About 2 years ago I set a goal to finish about 1 book a week (thank you Audible.com) and in about 100+ in so far. I highly recommend these three, you will not be disappointed. #adayinmyshoes #thirstforknowledge

#HappyBirthday Momma Bear! "You know... You're not that old... For a tree!! " 😜😜!! It's hard to express the love that someone has for their mother, so I won't try, but needless to say I'm glad I get to call her mom. I'm thankful for the lessons that she taught me while I was young, and the great friendship that we enjoy as I have grown up. Im very lucky that not many days go by that we don't talk on the phone or share a funny text. #tbt to the week I graduated from college and the whole fam came to visit, this by far my favorite picture we captured ❤️👍 I love you mom!!!!
