Little Things Learned

Books I read:

I had a really good month of reading. I know this because I look back at the books I completed and realise that not only were there a good number of them, but some of the first ones I read really feel so long ago. My standouts were definitely Truly Devious, Fahrenheit 451 and Sheets. I read all across my favourite genres in May, and even finished both the Grisha and Lord of the Rings series. Sheets is now one of my new favourite graphic novels of all time, and I was truly surprised when I discovered how much I enjoyed reading Farenheit.

A short but sweet wrap up this month... All up I read 10 books (including audio, picture books, comic, short and long reads). I really enjoyed getting into more of Shaun Tan’s beautiful books, and mixed things up with some YA contemporary/romance after all the heavy fantasy I’ve been reading this year.

March has been…quite a month. It went by so fast, I had so many things going on (especially with work), I really struggled to keep up with being an ‘adult’. I sort of forgot about a bill or two….and there’s a massive stack of paperwork I *really* need to attend to. I also finally had this operation done that I’d been waiting on for a long time (and then had to take recovery time off work, since I wasn’t allowed to drive or lift anything). I mean on the upside, lots more reading got done. I also have continued to develop a taste for audiobooks, which I’d been listening to now on my drive to and from work, as well as during cardio at the gym. I had a really long drive to go and pick up some stuff from an hour away, and it wasn’t nearly so bad (I normally get so bored driving that long), because I made a huge chunk of progress with the book I was listening to!

GWelllllllllll here we go. Told myself I wasn’t going to attempt any reading challenges but yaknowwhat here we are. Ha!  Okay but for real, I couldn’t sleep the other night, and I was on pinterest, as you do... and I just decided this wqs happening, and so it is happening. I did participate in the challenge in 2016, so I guess it was about time for round 2.
