Hey Sam, got a question, what exactly is the unstable magic au? I searched on your blog, but I couldn’t really find something other than the possessed tin man… so may I ask what that is?

Hello! ^^ 💚

Basically, this alternate universe (AU) is a story that chronicles the events surrounding a period of magical instability.

In Oz, magic is what makes certain things work, and one of those things is some of its inhabitants: magic keeps them alive, allows them to speak, move, and so on.

In this alternate universe, an enemy destabilizes the magic—simply on a whim and out of a thirst for power—and this causes all magical objects and beings to become unstable.

The Tin Man, of course, is one of them, because, in addition to being alive thanks to his own soul, he has a certain magic within him, and when he feels VERY intense emotions, it drives him mad.

Like losing a friend...

This alternate universe revolves around a state of CHAOS in Oz, where many things are happening.

I liked the idea simply because it shows that cruel and chilling side of Oz: that not everything is beautiful and that bad things CAN happen.

I’ll be posting small snippets of this alternate universe to gradually reveal the story through drawings or comics; at some point I’m sure I’ll write it out along with the drawings, but for now I’ll stick to just that uwu
