i love Queen but man the worst thing she ever did was provide the Detarune fandom with that “there’s nothing wrong with him he’s just annoying” screenshot because Berdly is very much just an asshole sometimes lol
oh hey this is relevant again: the thing that really gets me about “they hated bro just for being a little bit annoying!!!” is that Susie and Noelle’s individual reasons for being iffy about Berdly actually say a lot about their characters. Susie has a complex about being stupid and uncultured, and upon seeing her and Kris entering a library Berdly cracks a joke about how it must be an emergency or something. Noelle has a complex about being weak and helpless, and Berdly apparently spends most of his time telling anyone within a five foot radius of him how Noelle is a fragile shivering damsel who needs him to tie her shoes for her. this isn’t Deep Lore, it’s all information that you get just by reading the game’s dialogue during a normal playthrough, and the fact that a lot of Deltarune fans have trouble analyzing the inner psychological workings of Susie and Noelle (two of the main characters) with the same amount of depth as they do Berdly (a side character who’s main purpose is comedic relief) seems to me like a sign of (trails off and doesn’t become audible anymore)

I'm not even kidding it's so clear that everyone sees black people and especially black women as some sort of alternate species. I'm getting into doll collection & customization videos because I've been getting into collecting myself and toys and art are supposed to bring me happiness and even there I can't escape the anti blackness. Like... you're lucky if you find a character or doll that's consistently brown skinned and carefully designed in popular brands. Collectors will always favor light skin or fantasy colors anyways. I had to watch a white creator call a custom Garnet doll "dummy thicc" and describe her in progress proportions as "female rappery" why couldn't just have said curvy? You're not funny or cool and I'm very tired
