Currently working on a huge ass RoyMaes comic. Will it see its completion in my life time? Remains to be seen...

I like to draw in my free time and hope to eventually start up my own online store! (Though that's currently a pipe dream right now) This blog is a place to post all my art from full peices to silly doodles. I often post fanart for whatever fandom I'm in which is subject to change. So don't be dissapointed when I start drifting away from a certain fandom! This stuff just happens :) (Except submas, submas is forever.)

I just wanted to share this so that SOMEONE knows that I’m making this and can hopefully look forward to it. Because this is going to take so much effort and motivation that I don’t think my AuHD brain can handle. This is probably more work than that one time I made 20 ocs just for the purpose of filling out a classroom to create a larger piece with my actual main ocs.

I know I have the insanity, I just don’t know if I can follow through…

Oh also I’ve had the writing part done for a while. It probably won’t change much from what I have, but I need to share what I have or I’ll actually go insane

Dear Gracia Hughes,

I have to confess, I was in love with your husband.

I’m not quite sure how it started, or if it was always there, but if I were to guess it’d be the Ishvalan civil war. We were lonely, and could you blame us? With all the despair we saw day in and day out, of course we’d want a distraction. We were just two men trying to find some joy in this field of misery. However, this couldn’t last forever, we knew that. Especially Maes. He had you to come back to after all. And so the war ended and we moved on with our lives, never speaking about what happened.

Maes told me he had told you about our previous coupling. I know he also told you not to worry. I wish he was right.

In truth some part of me still yearned for him. I was forever that lonely soldier on those scorched battlefields. It all happened one night. Maes and I were out drinking, chatting about life, and about you. That’s the one thing he always talked about. You. He never shut up about you and your child on the way. I should regret what I said next, but I don’t. I expected discomfort and rejection, but I got quite the opposite. I suppose you can fill in the rest. It should have been that one time. But that’s not what happened. I’m sorry.

We knew the dangers of what we were doing. A married man sleeping with his male superior? We would be ruined, and you by proxy. But, your husband, he was the most loving man I’ve ever known. I don’t know how he had a heart big enough for everyone and everything.

Nothing could ever have prepared me for that day.

I can still hear him taking his last breaths over the line.

I felt a lot of things. Anguish. Fear. Despair. Vengeance. But the most overwhelming of all was the thought that-

It should have been me.

I suppose I’m writing this so you don’t ever have to resent your husband for what he did. He was an honorable man, and I’m so glad he found such a beautiful and intelligent wife.

I loved him too. I hope you can forgive me for that. If you can’t, at the very least, forgive him.
