Talia glances up before passing the girl a form with a small smile:

“ It starts in four days, and continues until the end of summer around August 10th. Participants can sign up for slots everyday of the week, and have the option to ‘ work ‘ extra hours for overtime pay. Should anyone like to continue their internship under my tutelage after this period, further arrangement can be made around the coming school year. “ 

She laughs softly and clicks her case closed. Hefting it from the table and allowing it to fall at her side.

“ Of course – I doubt highly anyone will take me up on that. Kids today enjoy their freedom. I don’t blame them for that. “ 

( As a matter of fact, she wishes she had more of that as a child, herself. ) 

Talia holds the door of the cramped classroom open, her nose immediately assaulted by the smell of various perfumes, pungent snacks from the snack machine, and righteous B.O. Her eyes trail over to the blonde as she tries to breath easily through her mouth. 

“ I’m surprised anyone’s actually taken me up on my offer, well – at least inquired further. “ 

The young blonde started to make mental notes, especially to put herself down fr every day of the week, plus the extra hours for the overtime pay. She didn’t care if it meant she wouldn’t have any time for herself, as she needed the money and it. would give her a distraction from her life.

Especially since her mother has gotten herself stuck in arkham again and she doesn’t want to be a burden to her aunts.

“How much would the pay increase if one worked overtime?”

As Talia starts to walk out of the classroom, Lucy instinctively follows her, trying to find out as much information as she possibly could.  

“Well I’ve been looking for a holiday job and the idea of free food is too tempting not to take.”

Lucy giggles a little, trying to play it off like a joke, hoping that the woman wouldn’t ask too many questions.

Talia al Ghul has always had a soft spot for children especially after she had Damian. While she had given her assassin origins a well deserved rest – she had built her own security empire and attempted to walk the straight and narrow path of a business woman.

That’s probably what led her here, talking to a bored class of high schoolers. She could not let the next generation fall into a life of crime: all too easy in the streets of Gotham and Metropolis. 

“ I have a few paid internships for anyone interested in learning how to run their own business in the future. Your instructor has the forms ! “

Her eyes rest on the girl with the rainbow hair. Her facial features seem familiar, but seem to be pasted on a younger body. Talia’s eyes glimmer with a hint of possible recognition, but burn out quickly as she finishes her presentation.

“ The pay is $16.75 an hour.  You’ll rotate duties daily … don’t worry – it’s only 6 hour shifts, with lunch that’s provided and breaks between learning modules. I do hope to see some of you soon. “

She takes another cursory sweep of the room, actively avoiding the perplexing child from before as she packs her laptop and a few other things she’d brought for her presentation. 

Tough Crowd. 

Lucy let out a small bored sigh as she focuses on the drawing she has been working on for the past half an hour, in stead of listening to the woman speak about her business. As it was something she had zero interest in it. 

However then Talia mentions being paid a decent amount for six hours, with free food. Which automatically peaks her interest, for she always needs money, even if she will have to work 6 hours for it. Not to mention as a person who never knows when her next meal is coming from, it too was something she needed. 

The blonde goes to raise her hand but the bell rings, signaling that it’s the end of the day and time to go. So she waits until the rest of the class has left, and then proceeds to approach Talia.

“Excuse me miss.”
