Real Gremlin Hours

When it would be you two alone, you’d catch him gazing over at you, if your eyes were to meet he’d beckon for you to come closer and wrap his arm around your waist. Then he’d outright spoil you, shamelessly, if he noticed you’ve been eyeing something, whether it would be online or physical, he’d present it to you wrapped up in a little maroon bow, a personal flourish of his. But the mornings, especially, are when he would be at his clingiest. You’d wake up to the feeling of him wrapping his arms around you, burying his nose into the crook of your neck, peppering kisses from your shoulders all the way up to your cheek, murmuring praises into your ear.

But he has his moments, of course. During rather intimate moments, you’d sometimes feel him nipping your bottom lip, lapping up whatever blood there might be, but you never did stop him…Which led up to the events of this morning.

Feeling his cool fingers gently tracing the outline of your collarbone, your eyes flutter open to see him watching over you. Seeing you finally awake he greets you with a warm smile as he moves his hand to cup your cheek, his thumb gently brushing your skin.

“Good morning, dearest.” He murmured before leaning down to place a gentle kiss on your forehead, his frigid lips a soothing balm against your skin, when he pulled away you noticed his eyes wandering down your body. “I apologize for letting myself get out of hand last night, but if I may…You look much better like this.” He smirks, moving his hand from your cheek to drag it down your neck, your chest, and finally stops at your waist.

Your breath hitches at the sensation and you look down to see the irritated skin surrounding the bite and puncture marks all over, if you were being honest you expected worse.

“Luckily enough, it doesn’t seem to be infected, but I don’t want to risk it…”

Without another word, you feel him tucking one arm under your knees with his other arm supporting your back to pick you up in a bridal carry, holding you close to his chest. “How about a bath?”

In this moment, seeing him happy and relaxed, the gleam of warmth in his eyes as he looked down at you made you feel at ease, safe. You rested your head against his chest as he made his way to the bathroom.

Blodgrim gently sets you down onto the marble counter before turning on the light, the fluorescents making you squint your eyes for a moment. The sound of running water makes you look over to see him kneeling by the tub, his hand under the water faucet to make sure that the temperature is just right and as he does so you couldn’t help but notice the irritated welts along his back.

He looks over his shoulder. “You wanted breakfast again, right? The same as yesterday?”

You nod. With a chuckle, he stood up from the tub and made his way back over to you and picking you up once again to bring you over to the water and setting you in. Feeling the warm water engulf you, you couldn’t help but slump against the porcelain and let out a quiet sigh of contentment.

He takes a towel and your favorite brand of soap, dipping it in the water, and takes it out to lather before scrubbing you down, occasionally asking you to lift your arm or leg. Honestly? He loved seeing you like this, how soft and pliable you were under his touch, he gently brushed his fingers against your shoulder and gently kissed the nape of your neck, watching you tense up slightly before relaxing again.

“You’re adorable.” He murmured.

A few minutes later of scrubbing and letting the water wash off the suds from you, he pulls out the drain stopper and gets up to grab one of the fluffy towels from the bathroom cabinet and begins to dry you off. “You did so well for me,” he praised as he draped the towel around your neck and cupped your cheeks, tilting your head up to look at you. Upon seeing your flushed cheeks, he couldn’t help from littering kisses all over your face.

“Blod!”

He smiled against your cheek before pulling away. “What?” He gingerly begins to knead your cheeks, pulling, smooshing them together. “It’s fun.”
