first you gotta do the build up and then the actual fucking and the fucking is pretty easy but you never know how long the fucking should last, and eventually you're like "okay I'm tired of this" so the characters cum, but you're not done yet because you can't just end it at "he fucking nutted everywhere" you gotta keep going, and the characters have to chat a little or cry or think about how horrible they are or something and then you kinda don't know when to end that either so now you're 2k words in and you might have put too much self hatred and not enough sucking dick. so you wrap it up, and think well it's done now.
or sometimes you have it all perfect in your mind and you knock the whole thing out in 2 to 3 hours.

Begs the question, how was his leadership style in the Sheep? He definitely didn't like the title King but could have been how he led.
He could have kicked the gun out of Dazaiโs hand not just because he was weirded out but maybe because he doesn't like resources wasted.
Can you imagine in their early years, Chuuya familiarising himself with the Port Mafia rulebook and each time Dazaiโs trying to break the rules, Chuuya taps the rulebook like: it says you can't. Dazaiโs like: oh my god.
Then Dazai joins the ADA and meets Kunikida and goes: OMG! He even carries a rulebook with him! I have PTSD flashbacks.

Reached the Kunikida and Akutagawa fight in Dazai's entrance exam and pfft, rip Chuuya, I guess.
Kunikida is rattling off Akutagawa's aliases like the Skill User of Destruction and Disaster, the Apostle of Calamity and Despair and all I can think about is how these could also fit Chuuya as well but he is either Arahabaki, which is treated as a completely separate entity or part of Double Black which again, not only him.
Akutagawa collects all the cool names.

(Also, pfft, Dazai was like: Oh shit, the Port Mafia. I don't want to be seen. Bye Kunikida, I'll catch that slippery driver! Good luck fighting the guy I trained.)
Do you think Chuuya bothers Akutagawa so much because....
1, It's payback for all the times Dazai annoyed him and since Dazai is not there anymore, Akutagawa is good enough
2, He is trying to imitate Dazai in his own way for Akutagawa's sake, but he can only use his own experiences with Dazai as inspiration, which is completely different from what Akutagawa actually experienced under Dazai

Kunikida, typing away: The President told me to shoot you if you were an evil person.
Dazai pretends he didnโt know that: Chuuya! Did you hear that!? *ponders* Wait, why is Chibi not dead yet?
Kunikida, typing: He pays for the drinks.
Dazai: All of your drinks? Atsushi-kun doesn't drink.
Chuuya, also typing away: He is there for the snacks.
Atsushi: They are very delicious.
Dazai: What about Ranpo-san?
Chuuya: Cocktails.
Ranpo: The sweeter the better.
Dazai: How come I'm not invited!?
Chuuya: No one likes you.
Dazai: Itโs not fair! Was I the only one threatened, President?
Fukuzawa: I'm afraid not. Chuuya threatened me.
*The room falls silent*
Chuuya: With sending pictures of cats in the Yokohama animal shelter
Fukuzawa turns away, says under his breath: I'm a weak man.
*Everything returns to normal*
Dazai, impressed, terrified, and a little turned on: You canโt continue financing everyone's drinking habits forever, Chuuya, you'll run out of money
Chuuya: I'll use yours
