the idea of childhood jasonette where he literally just goes over to her house where both the Dupain-Chengs and the Cesaires just feed him all the time is sooo tasty to me
imagine the Alfred/Dupain-Cheng & Cesaire rivalry. imagine him making more and more elaborate meals to compete for Best Cook while marinette and her extended family/coworkers are just happy the kids are making friends in Jersey--of course they're gonna feed him that's basic manners lol
basically childhood Jasonette where he's not even like "dang this girl is cute" and more like "dang I need to marry into this family and this girl is cute"
Actually building on this more because I have more plot bunnies running around my brain...
Okay in this AU, Mari's dream is to become a doctor so that she can use her powers to reach more people outside of the suit. Bruce, once he finds out about this--because Jason, Mari, and Alya become fast friends--pulls strings so that she can get into an internship at Wayne Memorial Hospital and Mari accepts.
Cut to all three of them turning fifteen. And Jason gets into more and more arguments with Bruce. Mari and Jason by that time are pretty close and while her support helps, it's not enough and Jason still decides to run away.
However--the night he runs, Jason visits Mari first and tells her his plan. She begs him not to go, and when she pushes, Jason admits to being Robin to reassure her. Mari wants to tell him about the whole animorph-ladybug situation, but she can't before they are interrupted. Robin travels to Ethiopia and dies, and Mari, grieving deeply, throws herself into her work.
She transfers from Wayne Memorial to St. Mary's, and it is there, six months later, that she happens to be on duty when a John Doe stumbles into the road, is hit by a car, and brought in. When the same patient nearly climbs out the window to escape, Mari manages to calm him down and realizes that it's Jason.
I'm pretty sure the most Jason thing ever would be to call a 19-yo a kid while also, himself, being 19
returning to this one to give her a more…fox-like haircut….and a litty-bitty style tweak

Because. Oh. There’s the solution. They’re not getting out of this alive but like. It’s a solution for everyone else. Okay. Okay.

Look I don’t care how implausible it is, I don’t care how ridiculous it is. Dick is eight years old when he becomes Robin. It’s the funniest fuckin thing and I refuse to ever make him older than eight when he bullies a grown ass Bruce into letting him go out at night with him.
Does Bruce take him on kiddie runs until he’s a little older? Maybe. Does Batman stand menacingly behind a brightly colored little bird to threaten the goons while Robin can’t see him? You know he does.
But Robin is still actually terrifying when he first appears on the scene, because he’s a teeny tiny fluttery little thing that does cartwheels and handstands and makes puns then launches himself full force to kick a man in the nose and then cackles when he bleeds. His laughter makes goons shiver, they hear it bouncing around warehouses and half of them bolt, because they learn very quickly what happens when a feral Robin appears.
The Gotham rogues all immediately have beef with a literal third grader because he took the bats attention away and also because he’s roundhouse kicked them all in the shins at some point and that shit hurt like hell, and then he laughed in their faces while making a pun about their villain name.
Majority of the rogues everywhere hate Nightwing because they all know he used to be the feral child that they all thought Batman should have put on a leash, half of them have been straight up bitten by him before he lost all his baby teeth, and they’re all so bitter about the fact that they’ve been beaten by an actual elementary school student. And now he’s all grown up? He’s fucking terrifying.
