God Has a Plan

Last week, my uncle was diagnosed with chronic leukemia, which would require meds but not shorten his life. Today, the doctor hinted he now thinks he has full-blown leukemia, and my uncle has to go in for a painful procedure tomorrow. We just lost one of my other uncles unexpectedly in November, and it was really difficult for the family. Please pray for him, the family, and the doctors.

On my other side of the family, we just found out my very close cousin has a tumor behind her eye. Tomorrow they are going to see how extensive it is. Please pray that it is not serious and does not require severe treatment, and please pray for her, her family, and the doctors.

 The doctor determined that my uncle still has chronic leukemia, which is good, but he is very sensitive to medication and has been feeling very sick with his meds, which he will need to take his whole life. Please continue to pray for him. 

My cousin got her results back today, and they found cancer cells in several spots around her cheeks and jaw and a few suspicious areas on her breasts. The doctor said her prognosis is good, but she is going to have to go through chemo. She’s only in her early twenties and I can’t imagine what she’s going through. Please continue to pray for her as well.

I have been asking St. Peregrine to pray for them; he is the patron saint for cancer patients. It would be greatly appreciated if any of my fellow Catholics here invoked his aid as well.
