What I can say about it is that it's set a few months before Matty Clements' encounter with IT and it's Dick Hallorann center. The title of the Prologue is called The Curious Case of Elijah Turner(working title for now).

I think it would also be an interesting take that Sophie has an actress not from the UK. Yes, the series is set in London, but if they can change Kate last name from Sheffield to Sharma. The writers can definitely make Sophie comes from somewhere else. You want to know what cool about an Earl they travel. Remember around this time Britain had colonies all over the world, so there could be a chance that Sophie could've been born in one of these many colonies. I always imagine Sophie story being somewhat of a fish out of water situation. Always I think it would make the stake of her leaving so much higher, she at one point was about to leave London and come to America.

I know that some of you guys in this fandom is uncomfortable with the idea that for some of the Bridgerton children their love interest will most likely be POC, but honest I could careless on how you feel as a POC reader of the books I couldn’t be more happier. After Kate comes Sophie, who would be the last female to join the family until Gergory marry Lucy (in the last book). Sophie would be our last representation of a WOC in the leading role for awhile, because after her story  come,  Penople, Eloise, Francesca, and Hyacinth all in that order. Out of the two( Penople, and Eloise) we already met their love interest, and for Hyacinth we already know that her love interest is a POC, because Gareth St. Clair is Lady Danbury grandson. As for Francesca I feel like they are going to cast a yt  love interest for her, but if I am wrong I feel like they would cast an Asian actor because that the second biggest Minor ethnic. We’ll have four season of yt women finding love, which nothing isn’t wrong with it, but it just make Sophie being a WOC, so much important. 

I don't see anything wrong with Simone's youthful appearance. I think the production will handle it well because, in the book there was always an age gap between Anthony and Kate from the start. Kate started her journey at the age of twenty( on the way to twenty-one), and Anthony in The Viscont Who Loved Me was in his thirty which was the reason that he was  motivated  to get marry fast because he didn’t want to outlived his father. All and all I would say don’t worry about, because Simone Ashely is a good actress and she will bring the maturity to the role. 

I am not going to talk about how in book white is always the default when it comes to describing characters. Yes in the original story Kate and everyone else in the Bridgerton world is white. Television is a different media, and for years when it comes to these type of period romance drama the heroine is always a white women. Television today is different the people watching is different people who want to see themselves represented. There are not that many period romance that feature brown and black actors that are in these roles. Judging by the show rating diversity sells BIG. The author of the book isn’t complaining about the casting she gives her full support to the actress, so I don’t know why you people are bitching. Do you think that only white people read those books....no they want the whole fanbase to be represented. Beside you have Peneople, Eloise, Francesca, and Hyacinth that will be you white women romance leads. Why is there a problem for us asking to have the role of Kate, Sophie, and Lucy to be WOC?

Can we appreciate the fact that the actress that is to played kate sharma  is a dark-skinned Desi woman. As a fellow dark-skinned I feel like that is very important to note, especially since we live in a time where on television when casting for diversity the casting director always choose a lighter-toned actors. I really hope that they keep this energy going forward when they start casting for other people like Sophie and St. Clair( who is by the way Lady Danbary grandson.)
