Listen, I love Red and think they’re a well written character, but… I need to yap.
So I REALLY hate how some people will undermine Purple’s accomplishments and trauma.
Like so many people acknowledge what Red went through, but very few people have acknowledged what Purple went through.
No, Red is NOT innocent and they didn’t treat Purple well throughout the mission at all. It wasn’t until the last couple of episodes did Red finally realize what they did was wrong and apologized. Red’s actions caused actual harm to Purple and Red never listening / even trying to listen to Purple just pushed them away even more.
When it comes down to it, what Red did to Purple was bad and the show spells that out to us MANY times.
