It was 9:30pm on a random weeknight. I had my bright ass porch light ring camera on. This act was done with a bright light shining right on her. It was very bold...or very desperate.

I never felt very mad. Maybe a 2 out of 10 anger level. More than anything, I felt unsafe. It just sort of stole my sense of comfort and safety, like it reminded me that anything can happen, even at my home which is my safe place.

What struck me the most that no one else seemed to mention was that this woman looked high as a fuckin kite. Not like meth high but like ....a zombie. Yes, she was quick to run after grabbing but the way she ascended my steps and the way she moved was so zombie-ish, at one point she even seemed to almost fall straight forward, with her hands limp at her sides. Her hair looked like it hadn't been brushed in awhile, sort of matted in the back.

All I can think about is.. this was sad. It seemed desperate. What kind of life situation must she have that she spends her evening stealing used $50 weed whacker off somebodies front porch? Whatever her life is, it's not good.
