I think part of the problem with tumblr is that sometimes ppl forget that popular posts are just personal posts a lot of people agreed with/found funny and werent like, created to specifically target them, it was just a personal thought. it…did not occur to me that icebergs just…pass by people’s houses

i used to live in st. john’s, nl, and, in late spring to early summer, it was not uncommon for a giant iceberg to float slowly by just outside the harbor. they would mention it on the news and radio. they took hours or, sometimes, days to go by. and, when it happened, it would make the whole town colder.. like ice in a glass of water. and, sometimes,… they would groan. as they passed.

Ice bergs are haunted, got it.

this local woman who has a tomboy kid reached out to my butch group to see if a few of us wouldn’t mind having brunch with her family and a couple more of the girls tomboy friends, cuz she read that it’s important for your development to have adult versions of “people like you” in your life when you’re growing up. which is definitely true. so we’re going over tomorrow. can you believe that? like, I’m gonna cry.

algeria is really in the pits right now. we’re suffering from water shortages, COVID cases are at an all time high, and now we’re dealing with horrible fires across the kabyle region to the point where the fumes and heat has reached algiers. please donate to support the victims of the fire, most are elderly and find it difficult to evacuate as it’s a village and doesn’t have the same resources as a large town or city. keep us in your prayers.
