And then, at night, all alone, I create them.. S: how exactly? Mel: I combine different substances, smell them and try to understand which combination is the best. S: So you are perfumer? Mel: no. S: ok, you do not wrap the girls in plastic bags?))) Mel: no😁 Real parfumer has to have some theoretical knowledge, know the technology… I’m not interested in it. For me it’s just a way to express myself… to share smth with people. S: how it started? Mel: after watching the movie Perfumer. I saw it twice. S: So, as I’ve said before, you are a parfumer))) Mel: you know, I love chemistry since childhood, since school I have lots of test tubes, reagents at home…I love to experiment.. S: For you this is business or just a hobby. Mel: You know, it began as a hobby, but now it’s rather a business, because it brings money. S: there is only one official fragrance by now, yeah? Black Gas Mel: Yes S: Do you have it with you? Mel: Yes, I do. I use it myself. S: may I take it? Mel: there is only a half in the bottle, as it’s mine… but you may take it. S: is it yours?! oh girls, just look at it! May I spray it? How to use it correctly, btw? Where should I spray it? Here? Mel: yes.. on your neck, on your wrist and even on your knees)) but don’t spray too much is pretty strong. S: smells good! Mel: thanks S: I would say it smells expensive. Mel: yes, it is a niche parfume, not a mass-market one. That was my task. As I, myself, never use perfumes of popular brands. They do not emphasize individuality. My friends are the lucky ones, as I often create parfumes in the morning, not recording the composition 😌 so many of them have their own unique parfumes)) S: ok, which parfume did you use before creating Black Gas? Mel: Lucas777. It is a niche perfume, it pretty pungent. I love the smell of ‘oud’  or agarwood. (It is in Black Gas composition too).  It is pretty expensive  substance (it may cost $1000-2000 per liter)… therefore niche perfumes are so expensive. Because they include expencive sustances. That’s why Black Gas is not that cheap… S: you are a good businessman as I see Mel: but I really like to do this. It’s clear that I make mistakes from time to time (stupid ones to say truth😁). I try to watch webinars and training seminars to improve my business knowledge))) S: Have you ever been cheated or robbed as a businessman? Mel: yes. Most often such things happened with my concert activity, where I participate only as a singer, an artist. I work on stage and my team does the rest. If only I could control everything… S: Are you a greedy one? Mel: no, quite the opposite. I adore to give gifts S: ok. The most unusual gift you ever received?
