Finally working on compiling all the dialogue about Focus/Memory/the Polyhedron/general Kain stuff to have it in one place, and I never realized that Andrey's quote about Victor is taken essentially verbatim from the conversation with Peter? I'm not sure if this is a mistake and it was supposed to be Peter in the portrait, but this quote has always been hilarious to me and them both supposedly having the exact same opinion on this issue is even funnier. "Why would his wife listen to him if he wasn't forcing her to?? If he could persuade Nina to listen to him, why wasn't he demanding that she follow his orders?? Also, coincidentally, why are my romantic relationships always on the rocks??" I think☝️I may have a theory for you

I always forget about this line. I think this is the only time this is ever mentioned?? It would have had to be before the Nina and Victoria days or someone else would have mentioned it, and I feel like Saburov's mother being a Mistress would have come up at some point as well if that were the case. Headcanoning that he had a kooky aunt or something.
